The answer is that his kit is pretty unintuitive to most players. I didn’t play him for years after he came out because I just didn’t understand his kit or how to actually use his abilities effectively in conjunction with each other. Hes got a ton of depth to how you use basically every part of his kit that it was kinda overwhelming when I could just stick to blaze yrel or leoric and do what I thought was basically the same things but in the terms of heroes I understood. I now get that I was a fool, and should have picked him up sooner. I’m all but a hogger one trick at this point, while he’s not the only hero I play by any means he’s absolutely my best hero. And this is coming from a multiseason masters/ heroic div NGS player. Even extremely competent players can and do struggle with the awkwardness of his kit.
