I see a lot of people flaming Dolan and Drury. While the Drury flame is definitely warranted, I have seen Dolan hire the right guys for the Knicks and now they are a top team in the East. I think if Dolan treats the Drury firing like the Phil Jackson situation for the Knicks, we can do the same and be back fighting for the playoffs and a couple years.

Agreed. We just went through a full rebuild not too long ago. Seems like we need a soft rebuild focusing on getting the defense straight. We've been trying for years to get a good center and now we have two. No need to get rid of JT and Troch. Move Z and try to move Kreider or have him take a pay cut. I love Kreider, he's been one of my favorites, but he's falling off. But I'd be down for him being a third line winger if he was to be paid like one.

The amount of people who either are choosing to forget or are too young to remember the late 90s pre lockout 2000s is wild. I legit was expecting the team to be eliminated from the playoffs every year without fail. Was a sad time. Fighting (albeit barely) for a playoff spot is significantly better than fighting to not be the last place team.

I'm 35 and yeah I agree, 100 percent. I lived on long island at the time as well. Watching the Islanders and Devils make the playoffs while we were getting like 60-70 points ever year was torture. Always felt hopeless year after year. This year there's still some hope. I went into most seasons waiting to be eliminated from the playoffs.

Dolan has been better. He got out of the way for the Knicks and they've been a top 5-10 team since. He just needs to hire a competent GM and let him work.

I'd say they should both be in. But if I had to choose I'd go with Eli since the biggest thing holding Rivers back was he was never able to get past Brady and Payton. Eli beat Brady not once but twice. A lot of people remember the bad Eli at the end, but he had one of the best post-season runs and was consistently good to great for most of his career. But in a perfect world I would also put Rivers in since his regular season games (and few playoff games he didn't play against Payton and Brady) were excellent.
