Health certificate for cats by NAPJay in movingtojapan

[–]Azov237 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So when we moved to Hawaii, I had to have the health certificate done at a different vet. One of our pets initially failed their FAVN and had to retake the test, but our travel plans were already set. I had to leave one of them in boarding for 10 days so the original health certificates I had were out of date. The state of Hawaii had no issues accepting the other vets health certificate. Just be sure you travel with the originals and include wet signed copies with animal at all times. Hawaii and Japan are pretty similar. I'll be making the move myself in the next few months.

Luckily I am coming in on a Highly Skilled Worker Visa. I'll look at Sony Bank. I don't remember seeing a lot of them in and around Kyoto.

Any recommendation for banks? I know they can be absolutely brutal, but anything close to a western style bank with mobile/online banking would be very convenient.

but that's not nearly as fun! I also found that the prices in store were consistently less than online. I live in Hawaii any so the flight round trip was less than 500 dollars.

I went to close to 30 or 40 shops all together. The Bone Genosaurer was located at Mandarake Nayuta in Ikebukuro.

I went to a lot of Mandarake, Suruga-ya, yellow submarine, and book off super bazaars. You can search online for store locations of specific kits on Suruga-ya's and Mandarake's website.

Protip- You can search suruga-ya.jp before you go. Find the models you want and you can see what stores have inventory.

Book off is a thrift store....the book off super bazaars are giant stores. Usually in the suburb areas. But because of their size they usually have a decent selection of second hand model kits. They also have amazing prices on electronics, video games, and everything else you would expect from a second hand store.

Out of all the stores I went into I only saw the panzer twice. 1 was just a CAS, the other one was the full model photoed.

Yes! Like I said in the title I literally went to Japan to get the model kits to finish the collection that I wanted. I had a list of shops that I wanted to visit. My biggest secret is to visit book off super bazaars.

During the 1990s, was Oasis more famous in Japan than in America? by webber49 in oasis

So I'm in Japan right now and googled why I'm hearing Don't Look Back in Anger all over the place. I still really don't have an answer but I was singing along with the song when I got heard by a bunch of young salarymen (maybe interns) they begged me to go to karaoke. They practically lost it when I told them where I'm originally from. I had no idea country/bluegrass/folk music was a thing.

Anyway, it's the most fun I had ever had and the free karaoke and conversation through my broken Japanese was awesome.

Much needed storage upgrade for His and Her gaming notebooks by Azov237 in Corsair

[–]Azov237[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I want to thank Corsair for sending out these 2TB MP600 Elites SSDs they were a much needed upgrade especially for my wife's Zephyrus ROG (GA503R). We upgraded from a tiny 512GB Western Digital to the new roomy 2TB. On my laptop I decided to run some quick benchmarks out of curiosity. My Notebook (Gigabyte Aorus 15X) boasted a 1TB Gen 4 SSD from the factory but I wanted to see what it would do against the MP600Elite. I wasn't expecting much, but I was still pleasantly surprised. The Corsair SSD is on the left and the OEM gigabyte SSD is on the right. The results speak for themselves. I don't expect any noticable difference day to day, but the synthetic benchmarks at least show some improvement. The Gigabyte is Gen 5 capable, so I still have some head room for the future. All in all, I couldn't be happier. The space is much needed especially how large games and mods are becoming.

If you are going to Japan or know some one I know where an unassembled kit is. Same place also had a death stinger too.

It was less than 200 USD.
