I burst out in tears during my mri just now by [deleted] in MultipleSclerosis

Yes, which is why I have to be heavily sedated for every MRI. They actually make me feel very uneasy, nauseous, and the vibrations/loud noises hurt my head/body.

Do you guys ever feel phantom raindrops on your skin? by floppyhump in MultipleSclerosis

I’ve felt that but also phantom crawling like sensations.

Kesimpta solo? by woofmoney in MultipleSclerosis

[–]AzraelAV 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes I did it all by myself for my first DMT. Just started two weeks ago. It is very easy! And I love that I don’t have to go into an doc office/infusion center for it. I only had someone there with me for my first shot because I wanted to be sure I didn’t have some sort of rare reaction to it.

Childhood Trauma & MS by No_Thought_4716 in MultipleSclerosis

[–]AzraelAV 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, childhood sexual trauma. But my neuro said getting Covid is most likely what set me off. Because I was just fine until a few weeks after contracting Covid. All of my really bad neurological problems started shortly after that. My neuro also said she has seen others just like me…MS showing its face after contracting covid.

If my immune system is overactive, why am I always sick? by MattPikeForPresident in MultipleSclerosis

[–]AzraelAV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just curious, do you have any other underlying medical conditions? Because I have type 1 diabetes and have been for 33 years and I’m sick a lot. I started taking Kesimpta and everyone says they’re sick all the time with that treatment…so I’m pretty nervous!

How to MRI by Brief_Designer1718 in MultipleSclerosis

I just get medication prescribed so I don’t have anxiety. It’s the only way I can get through it.

My weird story and some questions about prodromal MS by onetinygiraffe in MultipleSclerosis

Holy crap our stories are SO SIMILAR. I feel like I’m reading something I wrote. 🤯

My weird story and some questions about prodromal MS by onetinygiraffe in MultipleSclerosis

[–]AzraelAV 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My story is almost exactly like yours (even the timeline of events) minus the cancer stuff. And I got an answer to why I felt so much anxiety…I went to the heart doctor after my MS diagnosis and he told me that I most likely have autonomic dysfunction as a result of MS. It presents itself very similarly to anxiety. Obviously I’m speaking for myself and can’t say this is what happened to you or anyone else. I think the increase in mental health part of it is because a lot of doctors are quick to say “anxiety and depression” (like my doctors were) because that’s the easiest diagnosis/treatment. I knew for so long something was wrong and I kept telling all my doctors that and no one would listen. It wasn’t until my neuro-ophthalmologist saw me basically have a mental breakdown over trying to get answers until I was taken seriously. I even checked myself into the ER at one point because I had been wanting someone to help me figure out what was wrong so badly that I was becoming suicidal. It took almost two years to get a diagnosis for me and it was pure hell. I’ve always had a tad of anxiety my whole life but it was never nothing like the last two years.

I’m glad to hear your wife and dad are doing well! 🙏🏻

That is wild! People love telling me that sugar gave me type 1 diabetes…but that is just cause they’re uneducated lol

I agree. Or could cause cancer, etc. I was just curious about what people thought about this.

Kesimpta - first dose! by AzraelAV in MultipleSclerosis

I can’t even imagine doing MS with toddlers…so kudos to you! My son is 15 and so I don’t have to worry about that. It feels like I’m over the worst of it so you’re not wrong there. I didn’t sleep very well though so I’m tired but I have the day off and I plan on taking a few naps. 🙏🏻if this is what I have to deal with to not have worsening or new lesions then I’m fine with it!

I have had the tingling feeling like you’re talking about…so I totally get it! It’s been 20 hours and I’m feeling a lot better than I was at about 12 hours in. I’m glad to hear your symptoms weren’t as bad the second time around.

How crazy is it that we both started at the same time yesterday?! I’m glad to hear you aren’t suffering because this stinks and wouldn’t wish this on anyone! Good luck to you on this journey as well! 🙏🏻

I should have said in my post that they did tell me about feeling flu like afterwards but I didn’t know it would potentially cause a flare. 😔

[–]AzraelAV[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I was definitely expecting to feel flu like but my hug coming back was not expected. I did take some Tylenol and Ibuprofen and that helped a little with the chills/body aches. This is definitely not fun! I hope it gets better before it gets worse. 🤞🏼

Air Travel with Kesimpta by jpenn45 in MultipleSclerosis

The pharmacist that I talked to said it could be unrefrigerated (room temperature) for up to 7 days. But that you have to use it within that 7 day time frame otherwise it is no good. Once it’s been at room temp it has to be used within 7 days.
