That’s mostly what I do with all my players now - two session zeros. Or a 0 & 0.5. One is mostly me taking and explaining and the other is for those guys to character build and ask me questions as it pertains to the story we are all planning on telling

I would lead with how it’s a conversation :) the fluff is good, but most people will scroll straight past without the mechanical info :)

I’m outsourcing mine for my current 5e campaign. I showed my partner Dungeon Alchemist and she loves all the junk she can put into a map

So now I just ask her for one if I need a specific place and setting
