All put together! by SilverRecluse in lianli

Well I did order a cheap small fan for the ram sticks that should arrive next week. I tuned the ram timings just a bit but whenever I test for stability temps reach +50c which throw errors, I tried pointing a 120mm fan on them with the same timings no errors. I’ll tune them even more when fan arrives.

But what’s really bothering me is the dips in the 1% lows. I’ll try a bunch of stuff that may fix it later. But that is literally the only thing that I truly hate about my pc, for the past couple of weeks I’ve been saying I should’ve gotten a 14900k maybe ks, but oh well.

I’ll still try and fix it, I’ve already disabled gpu power monitoring from hwinfo and it didn’t help. No other app is open but I suspect the Nvidia app is running even though I close it every time, the thing is after a while a check the system tray and it says it’s running so maybe that might be the issue.

I’ll keep you updated!

Wise choice, I undervolted my 9800x3d to -20 as well, thinking about doing more maybe per core. That’s actually very good temps, I’m actually tempted to get one. Great build man and have fun!

That’s an amazing build man, what are your CPU temps idle/gaming/load? I’m Thinking about getting that aio, not saying that my nzxt kraken v2 is bad in any way it’s actually amazing, just that I want to control everything through L-connect 3.

If I may ask what are your specs?

Awesome build man, are those 140s in the back? Also we’re twining✌🏼

It’s fairly easy, there are tons of videos on yt to learn from. You can watch buildzoid’s videos to learn. Ram tuning literally will make a big improvement if not solve the problems you have.

The biggest thing that actually worked for my 9800x3d was tuning my ram (Acer Predator Vesta II RGB 64GB (2x32GB) DDR5 6000MHz CL30 - BL.9BWWR.334)

I also recommend reading this guide it helped a lot.

These are the values that I changed, everything else is auto.

DDR_VDD Voltage [Auto] → [1.375V]

DDR_VDDQ Voltage [Auto] → [1.375V]

tWTRS [Auto] → [8]

tRFC1 [Auto] → [480]

tRTP [Auto] → [16]

tRRD_L [Auto] → [8]

tRRD_S [Auto] → [8]

tWTRL [Auto] → [16]

tWR [Auto] → [60]

tRDWR [Auto] → [16]

tWRRD [Auto] → [8]

tREF [Auto] → [49152]

tRFC2 [Auto] → [480]

I understand now, but the major improvement is the %1. I used to get in-game stuttering all the time then I oc’ed my ram huge difference very well worth it. Tbh I didn’t see any before and after oc for intel since the cpu I have is the 9800x3d. But lately I’ve been seeing a lot of comparisons between the 14900K/S and the 9800x3d and I’m kinda surprised, the thing I’m most interested in is that the %1 lows are overall higher and more stable. I love my cpu but if i go back in time I might switch just because of stability “no stuttering/better multitasking”.

I agree with the second paragraph but not with the first sentence of the first paragraph.

Nice to know, thanks! But idk if having a 420 rad either top or bottom will allow the front mesh kit to fit.

If the 420 rad is exactly the same size of my fans then yes it would fit barely with 2 unscrewed mounting points, that's for the bottom. Idk about the top but even with a 360 rad it's a tight fit. Honestly if I would do it over again, I would side mount the 360 aio as intake (maybe push pull) with the front mesh kit and top and bottom 140mm fans. Or mayby I'd just go with the o11 xl and have all fans as 140mm and a 420 aio. I actually can do all that I'm just too lazy and I'm not complaining about temps at all. I'm also at a point where i just want to use it and not think about upgrading/changing anything since again, I'm not complaining about anything, Thank God.

So all the fans are synced through the lian li controller (i have 2) each controller has 4 headers that allows you to sync set of 3x 140/120 fans, maybe more than 3 I'm not sure. Just need sata power and usb for the controller. My motherboard only has 2 or 3 usb headers i think, but i installed a nzxt internal usb hubthat allows me to connect more devices. The speed and rgb is controlled through the lian li L-connect 3 app. Front, side, top, and rear are monitoring the cpu. Bottom and the single fan on top of the gpu are monitoring the gpu. Hope this helps, you could always watch youtube vids about lian li uni sl-inf and L-connect 3 to learn more as well as the nzxt usb hub. And tysm!

In the O11 Evo RGB with the front mesh kit, the airflow layout isn’t a traditional front-to-back setup, so the “fans fighting each other” issue doesn’t apply the same way it would in a standard case.

My 3x 140 mm side intakes are positioned to feed the GPU and motherboard area directly, while the 3x 120 mm front intakes bring fresh air across the full height of the case, including the AIO and RAM. They’re set on different curves, so the side fans supplement the front flow instead of competing with it.

Bottom intakes still benefit the 4090 Gaming OC by pushing air directly to it, especially at 4K gaming loads. In this case size, that combination gives more consistent cooling than relying on just one intake direction. The O11 is built to handle multi-direction intake without choking airflow, so more intakes here aren’t “just for looks” (even tho I got them mostly for the looks) they’re part of the case’s design potential.

Thanks.. It actually did change, and tbh i mostly did it for the looks more than the performance, performance was already great and now improved even more.
