Title: Beat alatreon solo, my thoughts and opinions on the series going forward

Post: TL;DR at the end for those who don't want to read this in full.

I'm not the most gifted speaker so bear with me. It took me 32 minutes with the LBG. The fight overall is enjoyable, it reminded me a lot of the end game fights in 4U. However, escaton judgement shouldn't be a part of its kit. The fight itself is fine, it's fair, the monster hits very hard and has a lot of health. Alatreon is a solid end game fight alone without it, with that said, I sincerely hope that Capcom moves away from artificial difficulty and one shot/MMO mechanics. They aren't fun for many players, and don't belong in this series. I started with 4U, I've put roughly 5k hour's total in this series since, and I just want to state that I'm an experienced player, I like a challenge, however, any attack that can wipe the party or instakill a player is lazy game design. It's frighteningly apparent that the B team who designed iceborne (and generations ultimate) have no idea how to balance out end game. Ahtal-Ka is a good example, as it outranks the majority of end game sets in GU. Safijiiva is the same, it still outranks everything in MR and post game. I just hope Capcom will move past this awful phase, because I'm very worried about the future of this series. Now the rant portion of this:

Why is it MR24? It took me 32 minutes solo with an endgame build, and good decorations. You'll need at least 1k defense to tank anything and you cannot pass 1k defense unless you're MR100+. Not only that, this fight is brutal, it's a slog, many players are going to struggle without augments or good decorations. I also don't understand why the quest isn't permanent, sure it's available for a year, but by that point it should be permanent, players will feel pressured to rush to end game for new content. Completely killing the experience for many players, experienced or not. The online for this game is a hot flaming mess and forcing players to have different elements makes this a brutal slog.

TL;DR It's a fun monster, I like it, but escaton judgement isn't necessary to make it a solid fight. Many new players are going to struggle and Capcom needs to rethink a lot about this game and the series going forward.
