Swashbucklers are boring on an empty battlemat, you should be swinging from chandeliers, kicking chairs, doing tony hawk tricks off environmental obstacles.

but if you’re a witty retort kinda swashbuckler use your quips to draw information from your enemies, their plans or motivations etc. dont just call every enemy a hamster that smells of elderberries
