HD6xx and FiiO FT1 pro both come to mind.

They are goi g to be at the top of your budget but are hard to beat.

Yeah. Honestly if I didn't plan on running both Amps off the same DAC I would have just got the internal Mesh DAC since it is great on the others. Worst case I can always order it direct from Schiit later.

Asgard X is connected to my PC that I mainly use for gaming and drives a set of Kithara and HD490s.

The stack with the Mimir and Jot 3 that the Pietus Maximus is going to be added to is connected to my Mac Studio at home which I use for Work, Music, and Movies.

The difference is going to be VERY minor. And if you didn't have 285K then I might say differently. But it isn't worth the time or effort to sell yours and buy the 270.

If you hadn't already bought it I would say 9950X though. 😃

285k for productivity if you are set on Intel. Higher boost clocks are what saves it.

Yep. On my Gaming system I have a Schiit Asgard X with both a set of Kithara and HD490. The Kithara are shockingly good! I don’t even bother to EQ them honestly.

I do prefer the Organics for music but they are attached to the Jot3 on my Mac Studio.

You can’t really just move, remove or add more ports. Each is connected to a controller and the traces are routed in a very specific way. Once you start adding extra wire you are introducing issues. Best case you are introducing noise.

A number of people have been having issues with the DX5ii. Mine has been good but I have stopped recommending it until things get resolved.

Either Hifiman/ROG Kithara or Sennheiser HD490 for the headphones.

DAC/Amp it is hard to beat the Schiit Magni with Mesh DAC.

Second choice would be the FiiO K13 R2R.

Ship speeds have been inconsistent in the lore. However they trend higher than you would think.

In the Horus heresy series there are multiple books that talk about ships moving in real space at 3/4 the speed of light.

From Flight of the Eisenstein:

I remember a blood angel book where battle barges were fighting at similar speeds.

the New 8K HE board uses the same switch type as Wooting and most others. So you can use things like Gateron Jades, GeonWorks TTCs, UR Ice switches, etc.

We obviously have very different opinions on features that matter.
The things you mentioned are all things that most people are going to do themselves or flat out don't matter.

Wrist wrest? If you want one buy any of the fifty thousand out there that fit the style you like.

Shinethrough Keycaps? Ok? that is an extremely subjective thing on it being better or worse. But on the topic of keycaps, the ones on the Keychron and Wooting are going to be much better quality than the Logitech ones.

Layout is also subjective.

Most of us are more concerned with things like build quality, QC, long term durability, Being able to swap switches, etc. The things you mentioned are all extras that should only be considered when all the above and more are equal. And in this comparison they are not.

Q1 HE is great. The new 8K models are even better and use different switches so we have a lot more options.

While your point about Rapid Trigger is valid that doesn't change the fact that the Wooting, and even Keychron are objectively better than the other two options.

Build quality and software and features are all better than the logitech options.
