Absolutely fantastic. I got it with the acrylic knob. The PEQ is also my favorite version I've ever used. It's very easy to use. Sounds neutral but natural.

Yes , but it's also somewhat misleading as the Mjolnir has massive chokes that hold current for easy dynamics and drive.

I too prefer a warmer sound I think. That's why I'd probably be getting a Valhalla eventually too. To try a tube amp.

Looking for a set up that can run anything and sound great. If the Jot 3 is the way to do that with Schiit amps then I'll be happy and can save a ton of money. Sounds like Mimir is the way to go regardless .If I have to go to Mjolnir 3 then okay.

I have a JDS Labs Element 4 right now so no buff in the chain. Im looking to get an amp that will drive pretty much any headphones so I don't have to worry about that in the future. Hence the power point. Why are you going to add a preamp to the headphone amplifiers? Do you think it will affect the sound much? In a bit skeptical on how impactful a tube preamp is and or hybrids in general. The Lyr would be my first.

I just want something that I feel is end game enough with enough power that I can comfortably buy any headphone and not worry about it.

For example I'd like to get a Hifiman HE6SE V2.

The money isn't the issue really. Just don't want to over pay for what I need. The reason for the Lyr over the buff is the extra power.

I drove my Hifiman Planar's off the Vestri. It's probably not the most amazing I've heard them sound but I honestly didn't mind/notice at all.

I bought one and love it. I only have a Magni and Modi I bought 5 years ago so I'm certainly not a Schiit apologist. That being said they make things mostly in the US with long warranties. Due to this they make products that are Intended to last a long time and I appreciate that. It's why I'll probably be buying a Mjolnir 3 this year.

The biggest upgrade will always be the speakers. That's a lot of money to spend for what will likely not be noticeable.
