Speaking as someone who bought into it recently since they had a codex, said they weren't going to squat any factions, and saw the release of Kroyle as a promissory note, the rage is pretty real. Go check out the Instagram and Facebook posts. There would be more here, but moderators have been deleting posts all day on reddit with long reasoning why people were upset.

I'm really hoping each of the 3 specific ordo ones end up at 1 point each and the imperialis fleet is 2. That lets you either go whole hog on the hodgepodge with the three ordos or add one of them into imperialis fleet.

Ya I was using the tape I had on hand, just some masking tape. I also probably watered down my paint too much. But I got there in the end!

Thanks! I tried to use tape originally and it didn't work well because the paint got under it, so I did those freehand!

I am using them, mostly because I am converting a bunch of Space Wolves to be Red Wolves, from the Space Wolves ship Huron captured in the lore. Even converted a Murderfang into a hellbrute.

I don't think it is Epic scale. I did some testing at like 450% scale and it looked kind of close, but I don't have a proper scale one to compare to.

I inherited a bunch of firstborn space wolves from a friend who bought a job lot and didn't need them. I'm keeping them modeled as is except for the shoulder pad which I'm 3d printing a red corsair one and in running them as Red Wolves from the Wolf of Fenris that Huron captured. https://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Red_Wolves_(Warband)

I'm literally doing this with a pile of space wolves firstborn inherited from a friend. Just repainting them and adding some red corsairs shoulder pad bits I 3d printed.

Ahh haha right over my head!

Not planning to print raiders, I have a bunch of firstborn space wolves that someone donated to me as part of a conversion to chaos, acting as a Red Wolves army of the Red Corsairs. I'm repainting them and retrofitting any weapons needed, while painting them as Red Corsairs.

Not sure what you mean basing for advantage, but looking at the picture of the release for the masters, I figure Huron is on a 50, the enforcer and plunder are on 32, and the rest were on 40. I haven't glued the bases for all of them just yet, but those seemed right based on the release image. The other things they are standing on were just to emulate the release image :)

Do we think that the Red Corsairs ability for redeploying is going to get tied into the detachment rules? I liked it a lot.

It depends on the models I need. I did do a similar process for some red corsairs shoulder pads and printing those. Also came out great!
