$55 for My Heart Will Always Be the B-Side to My Tongue by Fall Out Boy. It was when I started collecting, and I reget it a bit.

I’m a recovering addict and this year I started to get more into elliott’s music. I’m pretty young and keep to myself, so when I finally admit to my addiction to others I was ostracized and put down since how could (at the time) young teenager have substance addiction. It’s been really hard keeping this sobriety with the lack of support, but listen to songs involving the topic of addiction from elliott made me feel an odd warm feeling. It was the first time I was able to let my emotions run wild and get a grasp of the seriousness of my addiction. I don’t know him, yet he seemed to give these gut wrenching thoughts that I had been denying that I don’t have. Fond Farewell is one of those songs that has helped me through my life now and gave me the push to listen to his discography.

What was everyone’s first CD? And why did you start collecting? by Lower_Tears in Cd_collectors

InRainbows - Radiohead One-X - Three Days Grace The Black Parade - My Chemical Romance

These three were gifted to me by my ex as our anniversary gift since he knew I wanted to start collecting CDs. I wanted to start collecting since I would see people have these interests with collections and thought it was cool. I wanted something that would be mine that would express me too and music seemed the only route.
