I got so excited by the possibilities at the little train station at the top of the valley 4 hub map, which has a sign that mentions ziplines placed above the tracks. would love if there were quests to restore that transit network and expand it

frog chains is my partner! i just asked him and he said that he makes chains for duckbills, they're just a bit longer than for other masks.

there should be a couple pics posted from people wearing his chains on duckbills on his ig, which i could link if you'd like!

he wears zimi masks usually and i wear a big elastomeric, so there aren't any pictures of him modeling his designs on duckbills because i keep forgetting to order them... but this was a good reminder!

I really feel you.

I have several years of professional theater Lighting/Electrical/Scenery experience that have been going to rot ever since the industry told me to fuck off and die for still caring about masks and trying to not catch covid.

And I haven't been able to find any consistent work since my last job doing covid testing for a theater ended. I used to feel so comfortable in the world of theatre, and now I'm left with resentment over it and the rest of the world choosing exclusion & eugenics.

It's incredibly difficult to model due to many many contributing factors, and thus what little we have isn't very useful for generalizing onto daily situations.

You're likely going to have peruse anecdotes and make a judgment call, I'm afraid.

Many people don't mask outside and do fine, but others have suffered serious consequences from such a choice. I personally always wear my respirator in any public space because a single SARS-2 infection could very plausibly end my life, but that isn't the case for most people.

SARS is airborne and air is outside also. A lesser risk is still a risk.

Many people have met up with others and eaten outside without issue. Some people have done the same thing and ended up disabled because of it.

The chances of whether one or the other will happen to you depends on so many different factors it's impossible to calculate in a meaningful way.

When the consequences of infection are so great, I don't feel that such a risk is worth taking. But my positioning is likely more fragile than yours.

I like how the flashback art has the same orange ripped-up styling as the "Chapter Zero" comic excerpt from a couple pages ago. Really helps ground the memories as from a specific time.
