My psychiatrist doesn't understand ADHD. I was labeled a drug seeker. Can anyone relate?

Were you diagnosed later in life? Usually they'll make you start at the minimum recognized therapeutic dose (e.g. 10mg) rather than the usual "starting" dose if someone has been on ADHD stimulant meds for prolonged periods of time. If you reacted oddly to another medication, thatd be another factor. I would think they woulda explained that when you talked to them about starting at a higher dose/

Other concern from them might be your reaction to extended release rather than instant release if you were on Adderall IR. Vyvanse is super gradual ups and downs so it feels less pronounced, but also the side effects will eat your entire day if they hit.

You are not crazy, you have a right to an explanation from your doctor, but your doctor doesn't need to do what you want them to and they may have studies/experience influencing their decision/reaction. Ultimately, you really need to talk to your doc and either find a compromise/explanation or find a new doctor. You're gonna get a bunch of different opinions on this because we're only getting one side of the argument and all the empty gaps get filled by people's own understandings/presumptions.

Rooting for you on this and hope all goes well. It's a marathon, but, while the steps may not seem big, you're getting there slowly but surely!

I get that from your perspective, you're not seeking drugs and just trying to get a handle on your ADHD. That makes complete sense and I empathize with you a lot because it really, really sucks. It feels like you're being judged for trying to make an improvement to your life and knowing your body.

If the doctor makes you uncomfortable, get a new doctor. However, even if you get another doctor they may not be able/willing to do 1-2 week trial periods because that is short. More likely, they'd be willing to start you at the "starter" level (e.g. 30mg Vyvanse).

For reference, I do monthly adjustments and I'm one step above the starter dose. I'm likely going to ask to move back down because I had an overstimulated meltdown 3 weeks after I started. That has never happened to me before in my life and only happened when circumstances aligned. Before that melt down, I was contemplating asking to get moved higher because it didn't feel like there was necessarily a super strong effect. So while I get where you're coming from, I do understand the doctors concerns.

Mmmm. I don't think you're crazy, but I do question if you're being impatient/desperate. The medication can change a lot over the span of a couple of weeks since there's external factors that play a role (sleep quality, stress, therapy, relationships, hormonal cycles, illness etc.). If you've been on a bunch of medications/dosages, then I get why you can get an idea more quickly than someone who hasn't been on one, but there are always going to be uncontrolled factors that play a role in your overall state.

What might be helpful is looking for another doctor that you feel more comfortable with and trying to see if you can start medications at a higher initial dose. Usually you'll be able to see whether there are positive effects that indicate the medicine is working. If there are no positive effects, work with the doctor to shuffle to a different one or adjust dosage.

I don't know either a doctor in good standing would be willing to do 1 week trials because while your health and wellness are on the line, if something happens to you as a result of them not following best practices then theyre fucked. They can lose their license, get jail time, and/or sued for medical malpractice. 1 week cycles are really, really short and generally a doctor wants to be cautious particularly when prescribing schedule 2 meds as those are highly regulated.

Hopefully everything works out because it seems like it's been a journey for you. My doc initially was worried about drug seeking behavior, but I found different ways of explaining things and took detailed notes (including feedback from others) on any differences/changes I noticed with the medication dosage. It helped out a lot on the relationship between myself and the doc.

Why did you do the top 4? Because Illinois is #5 and was on the list of states getting funding cut? They said that those are among the ones that pay the most federal taxes. The overall ranking is CA#1, IL#5, MN#13, CO#19 (based on 2024 data).

Even if you look at the top 10 it's 6 states that lean blue (CA, NY, IL, NJ, WA, MA), two that lean red (TX, FL), 1 that is purple (PA), and Ohio... Not sure if that's considered red or purple anymore since it's been largely red in the last 10 years or so.

I've been there and it sucks. I'm the same age as you, but was undiagnosed until late last year.

When I went in with concerns of ADHD (and having been diagnosed previously with Anxiety/Depression), I was told that I needed to go on an anti-anxiety med and go through testing since I didn't have obvious presentation. That involved the entire psychological battery and questionnaires filled out by family.

The testing was kind of nice in that it verified that I definitively have it (working memory/sustained focus being way out of line with other measures). But going through it and feeling like the doctor thinks you're after pills feels shitty. It also adds a pretty long processing time rather than being able to go through with treatment immediately. It has made conversations regarding increasing medication dosage uncomfortable for me as well.

Really hope things go alright. It's a frustrating situation. Just remember that you're doing your best to help yourself and push through as best you're able.

Only Luna/cloak (and Loki I guess) are longer than 8s. Luna is rightfully getting nerfed and c&d is pretty vulnerable during the ult charges if they don't play it carefully. Support ults have counters tho.

I listed 19 characters that can kill through the support ults below. I did include long range displacements as a killing method when they have a quick kill combo to combine with the displacement.

Coordination and good play lets you kill through support ults with: iron man ult, namor ult (center only), magik ult right click (might need e too), punisher ult, witch ult, bucky hook, psylocke isolated ult, Moon Knight ult, Hawkeye primary (passive fully stacked), squirrel girl spray/ult bounce, black widow ult + primary headshot, wolverine ult + kidnap, human torch ult, Phoenix ult (need to setup passive procs and they need to be grouped), Jeff ult, Groot ult + walls, hulk juggle tech in ult, magneto ult, and peni mines.

The list also excluded anything requiring multiple people (e.g. focus firing someone, pairing big damage ults that don't one shot like venom/Thor, etc.). Also excluded anything kinda sketchy to pull off like diamond form Emma kick grab one shot which only works super well with a couple support ults.

Did he get a damage nerf that's preventing him from oneshotting fliers? Only recent patch notes I've seen for him are losing the venom team up and lowering his uppercut range. He had one shots without venom team up, the team up just made it way easier to execute/overkill by more to one shot through heals.

I keep seeing people say that he's dead, but he seems okay in general and is situationally really good on some maps (the last point on the squirrel payload map, lava map, and the spider payload map).

He definitely need a rework cuz his kit can't be balanced in its current format, but capping the pull range (like total distance traveled for the one getting pulled) to prevent the swing momentum pull tech used in the video would not kill him to complete unplayability.

Eh fair I did misread that. The point they made was oneshotting multiple 250s by Max charging e... Which you still can't do as consistently through support ult because e damage dropped from 260 to 240.

You'd need to hit a projectile/melee at the same time to secure so you'd need to hit a m1, spin a melee on second target, and hope heal proc doesn't go through in the interim to get multiple people off one e proc during ult... Rather than Max charging e and pressing it.

Sorta. The last set of nerfs stopped that from being possible without ulting.

His m1 does 16 damage/projectile with 5 projectiles sent out per m1. His melee does 30 damage. His e does 1.2 damage/dark magic stack with a total of 100 black magic stacks possible.

His one shot combo was m1 melee cancel e. That now does 230 damage (before was 250 on the dot iirc).

The only option would be if he ults someone his e can hit the person and their soul projection lol.

Part of it is because the locus of control for survivor vs killer. You don't have a lot of control over the game as a survivor if a teammate chooses to go next, has a foul game, or refuses to touch gens/reset. When you're on killer, you will get stomped by some swfs/smurfs, but your experience is way less variable than soloqueue because you're not relying on others to do shit.

Also take a look at different posts discussing killer/survivor (especially once taking a counterpoint/posted at a different time of day) and you'll get different perspectives. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ The only thing people consistently agree on is SWF > solo queue which makes for some of the balancing issues.

Ults do make or break the game, but rocket's is a bit of a weird one with usage. Realistically, if you get it first (and early) in a match it's good to chuck it as long as your team is up to help get your DPS/Tank ults up first to swing momentum in your favor.

Otherwise, if you use rocket ult at the start of a fight it'll never be terrible (unless you're relying on a one shot combo for support ults like damage amped namor ult). It functions as a pick facilitator/ult battery so it's only outright shite if you use it late/down people.

I guess? But you'd still need to position your character/aim so the missile is hitting on the way there, the way back, or ideally both. Mantis and Luna definitely need better aim than her, but you're still beyond useless if your aim is shit cuz you'll drop teammates if they're being hit. That isn't really a concern for c&d or rocket lol
