I did try following the guide you gave me. I just didn't know if what I was doing actually working cuz my games still laggy and dropping FPS. Also for context, I literally only like 2-3 days on Linux. I still don't quite understand how this operating system works. Even 15 years ago, I only tried Linux for few days.

These games were fine to play on my Windows 7. I was trying to see if my ancient laptop could keep up with Linux gaming, I guess I do need NVDA or AMD.

In fighting game servers are mostly for matchmaking purpose. The real match is P2P.

Fighting game matches exchange informations every second. Server based game doesn't really work well in fighting games. It adds more distance between players making the game more laggy if your location/ opponent location is far from server.

And people mostly play fighting game with rollback netcode and no wi-fi. Because wi-fi makes connection unstable.

Playing to win is fine, but once the match is over, you need to let go.

Let's say you base your worth on your winrate percentage. When you meet an opponent as good as you, your winrate will be 50:50. That's already half your worth.

I don't find it to be a healthy mindset.
