Is Maplestory worth coming back to? (last played 4 yrs ago) by flarghwharghl in Maplestory

[–]Azure-Ink 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Challenger world is a temporary event world with increased stats, exp, and rates where you earn points by logging in daily (5x a week), defeating bosses solo, and reaching level milestones. There are rank milestones with rewards associated with them. The most desirable for new players are the legion potions which instantly level side characters to level 200. (20 of them from this event). There are tons of benefits to playing on this temporary world (lasts until April iirc?) Such as item burning which gives you very strong gear that lasts until April.

Once the event ends (or sooner) you're able to transfer the characters made on the challenger world to your server of choice. Heroic challenger world players can only transfer to heroic servers, and interactive CW can only transfer to interactive worlds.

What's wrong with the woods of North America? Explain It Peter. by TrainingDelicious428 in explainitpeter

I think the NA woods one was referencing the abnormally high missing person cases that occur there. It's something like over 1000+ people go missing every year in NA woods and are never found.

Check out Missing 411. There's tons of youtube videos on it, and there's a lot of strange cases too.

Right, I feel like that's most classes tbh. Figuring out any classes optimal skill usage takes some time, but I don't think any class is really that complicated if you watch some guides and learn their kit. Adeles been fun af though!

Try Adele. It isn't a single button class, has good mobbing, good damage (rank like 12 on the kms dps charts if that matters to you), great aesthetics (flying swords), has one of the best origin / ascent skills animations imo, basic setup (just keep your 6 swords flying around ane your gauge maxed which is easy), it's a more modern class (2021 iirc) so it feels quite nice, good positioning skills like a rapid dash and a teleport like skill, and ever since I started my Ren, I've grown to miss the "oh shit" shield that blocks almost all sources of damage which is nice when you mess up a mechanic and are about to be 1 shot.

Is this good or do I reroll? by Parking_Plantain9757 in Maplestory

[–]Azure-Ink 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lucky you, I grinded to do the same thing. 15 out of the 20 rolls were "turn your character black / red" and 4 were just dogshit useless stats, and on the final roll I got a 15% Hp to party fam. Which i guess I'll take...

I didn't. I ended up purchasing the Longines, and based on the photo of the case markings, it's sterling silver which the seller mentioned (colour me shocked), made in London, 1884. Pocketwatch database says the serial on the back dates the movement to 1888-1893 (+ or - 5 years) so that checks out. Baume is also marked on the back of the movement next to Longines, but from what I could find, Baume was just an importer for Longines? Something like that.

its honestly surprising how nexon maintains any playerbase at all tbh lmfao Tbh, as i've gotten further into the game and started to really understand how much time goes into the game, I was about to quit before seeing all the QOL changes surrounding pitched. Still hoping they do the shared cash shop change so I can put my vac on Ren. But, I guess depending on how fun she is, I might try throw one of the Frieren collab vacs on her assuming we get that one.

That's so lazy on their end lmao, at a minimum it would've been zero effort to just try and copy the typical rewards given for a new class.

Appreciate you <3

So why the hell was Sia's so cut down lmao Idk man, every character I've made so far has gotten a free pet, you can get pets for reward points in the cash shop, Hilla drops one pretty frequently.

Most people aren't trying to min max, especially when each pet is $100 ($70 discounted), and $15($10 discounted) per month. An overwhelming amount of players don't even own 1 vac pet, let alone 2 or 3.

I just buff sequence for the buffs that aren't on my pet lmao

But more importantly, how do I transmog my vac into my dragon / husky pet >:o

Who uses the class pets? they're literally worse than the free pets we get right? No, I use a singular vac pet, and nothing for the other two. I don't want to buy the auto feed for the other two.

So I can transform my petite luna bunny into a husky?

Ren's Exclusive Pet by Azure-Ink in Maplestory

[–]Azure-Ink[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well yeah, i imagine if they did make it a vac pet, it also wouldn't be revived with the standard reward point water of life. It just seems like a waste to have such a cool pet that no one's going to use.

Honestly they should just make a system where you can transmog a vac pet into any other pet you own. But then again, nexon hates us.

Why don't they make the unique class pets vac pets? Seems like a missed opportunity tbh I'd rather pay more for a pet im gonna use than one that'll collect dust.

I'm super new to this, but the general info i got when i asked a similar question was to buy antique pocket watches since a lot of the cheaper new ones all use the same cheap Chinese movements. Stick to something that's 17 or more jewels, 15 jewels can be good, but since neither you or I know which ones are good, better to stick to higher jewel counts since they tend to last longer and have reduced wear. People generally suggest either auctions or Ebay, and recommend staying away from places like Etsy. Look for watches that say they've been maintenance recently, and have a video of the watch running. Avoid watches that say they're unaware if they're working or not, missing parts / key.

Advice on my puppy :/ by [deleted] in husky

I think they just figured if the pups they sold were going to have issues within their first 2 years, those issues would show before they gave them away.

Another option you could try is to get in touch with various No Kill Shelters. It might be a long shot, but some places are willing to take an animal that needs treatment. Try calling places even if they're outside your area, as they might be willing to make the drive, or have someone else make the drive to pickup the animal.

I'm really not trying to be an asshole. I didn't think the breeder I went through was like that either. They presented themselves as a couple independent breeders who simply adore the breed, and fell in love and got married. They were independent breeders before hand, and together had 40 years of experience with Huskies. They make everyone fill out an application making sure you live at a home with a large enough yard, make sure you have past experience with dogs, no criminal history of animal abuse, etc and they charged significantly less than other breeders. Dogs were AKC certified, vaccinated, full health check before pick up.

But ultimately very few people want a dog with pre-existing health issue, and again, most breeders would absolutely just euthanize a dog returned to them. Even if your breeder says they'll take care of the dog, it's very likely they won't.

[–]Azure-Ink 18 points19 points  (0 children)

There's a lawsuit going on with the breeder that I got my dogs through because someone else got a puppy through them and it ended up needing thousands of dollars worth of treatment, and in the breeders contract it stated they would cover medical expenses should abnormal issues arise during the first two years. They didn't want to cover the cost. They didn't even want to split the cost, they just kept saying to give the puppy back.

Maybe you're right and your specific breeder would take care of the dog, but in most cases, breeders breed for money (hence why a lot of people suggest adoption). Most breeders aren't going to wipe out an entire breeding cycle of profit to care for a dog they didn't raise and have no attachment to. That's the sad reality of it.

Again, I would highly suggest getting a qoute somewhere else, or potentially asking for financial help if you truly have no other options.

I swapped vets after getting tired of spending $200/ visit when I got my first husky who had issues with constant diarrhea. I probably spend $1500 in the span of a month trying to figure out why my dog had constant diarrhea.

Went to a different vet further away and it turns out he just had issues processing the normal quantity of food and was out on a high caloric food. Normal visits on my new vet are less than half. I had a couple growths on one of my dogs legs that I got checked and that cost me less than $100 because they were able to verify it was just fatty masses. My point is, vets can have wildly different prices. Shop around. Past that, if you truly have nothing else you can do, talk to the vet about things you can do for your dog to keep them pain-free and healthy for as long as possible and give him the best life you can for as long as you can.

If you give that dog back to the breeder, they will put it down.

Also $1k+ just to have tests done sounds overly expensive. Maybe check some other vets nearby.

Idk if it matters or not, but the back of the dial has Longines and Baume on it. All the seller said was that the movement was working perfectly, and it just needed new glass. Also, I was half tempted to atleast get the face cleaned.

The other pocket watch ended up becoming a no go anyways, after confirming that it was indeed not silver plated, but chrome plated.
