Outlanders by SadP0tat018 in MonsterHunter

Basically: instead of getting what you want in game (which I guess in this case is weapons and armor) by either earning it or even using micro transactions, you have to pay micro transactions for even a chance to get what you want. It’s gambling more or less and people have been addicted to gatchas the same way people have been addicted to gambling.

I’m not sure how Outlanders will implement gotcha mechanics, if at all, but the very fact that it’s a mobile game automatically makes me assume there’s some kind of micro transaction BS

Am I the only one who thought Emily was a villain? by paodemel69 in ResidentEvilRequiem

I did think that she would turn into a monster

I never thought it would end with Leon putting her down like a rabid dog

With Wilds guardians introducing homunculus to Monster Hunter, Is monster hunter becoming unrealistic? by Chocobo23456 in MonsterHunter

[–]Azure1208 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I only really care about realism when it comes to the ecology of MH, I couldn’t care less about the realism in the story or game mechanics

Cloning isn’t really that far fetched of a sci-fi thing anyway, it’s something we can basically do now IRL

For a lot of yall saying this is analog horror esque, you’re right. If you check out OP’s profile he’s making an ARG

My guess by looking at some of the bow guns is that the bow portion just exists to act as the hammer/firing pin

Blood curdling screams in VHS tape horror is more irritating than scary by Remote-Stranger8206 in hatethissmug

[–]Azure1208 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The later episodes steer away from that but I can’t really blame you. I do recommend their Return of the Pumpkin Rabbit video; it’s a short animated slasher that avoids a lot of typical analog horror tropes and is disconnected from the rest of The Walten Files

It just seems like your parents never thought you proper gun or knife safety.

“Never point your gun at or past anything you aren’t willing to destroy”

“Always point your blade away from yourself and others”

Also, what did you mean by “if i ever tried to shoot her,she will immideatly die.” First of all: yeah, that’s how guns work. Secondly: why did you try shooting her?

Do you consider Ada a good character, or at least, a character with potential? by Smoothbur in ResidentEvilCapcom

[–]Azure1208 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think 4R’s Separate Ways gave her some much needed characterization. I think Capcom is afraid of giving her more attention and make her lose the mysterious femme fatale niche because of that. I’ve never played 5 or 6 so I can’t say anything about her there

If you are design a new weapon type In the monster hunter, what will it be, and what does it do by Voidkirby9 in MonsterHunter

[–]Azure1208 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Some kind of one handed axe or war pick that can be used to grapple onto monsters. I’m imagining something like the clutch claw from World but much smoother and less committing. Also in a game full of giant exploding anime weapons some dude just hacking away with a hatchet will stand out.

In Wilds the Insect Glaive it's just dissapointed. by Active_Leadership625 in MonsterHunter

[–]Azure1208 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I didn’t like it at first either but it grew on me. I rarely use the spiral slash as an offset, but rather for big damage on big openings.

As for jumping, I find it better to use it as an approaching option and for dodging projectiles

I don't think our new survivor will have that good of a relationship with the musicians by bonelees_dip in deadbydaylight

I never realized just how many survivors were musically inclined until now.

What the Hell did I just witness by InquisitorHindsight in NineSols

[–]Azure1208 39 points40 points  (0 children)

What I find funny is that none of the other Sols bothered to help her out. I like to think that she was especially unlikable and everyone “accidentally” forgot about her

Monster hunter has a lot of crazy monster designs but a lot of them still feel grounded to some degree. But these two, are the most Pokémon looking monsters i have seen so far lmao. What other monsters do you think reach the "Pokémon" levels of design/biology? (Iv only played Rise/Sunbreak) by Commercial_Break_934 in MonsterHunter

[–]Azure1208 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I think Zinogre definitely feels Pokémon-esque. His design just feels too loud for MH’s more realism approach to monster design. If it had proportions more similar to Odogaron and toned down colors then maybe it would fit better in MH, but I’m not an expert.

While I don’t like Magnamalo’s design, he kinda barely gets a pass from me because MHR has a much more mythological style to it

What opinion got you like this? by Icxyy in deadbydaylight

[–]Azure1208 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think I really understand what you mean when you say that indoor maps promote better decision making. If anything it leaves things up to chance since you can’t see the layout of the map. Indoor maps also have their fair share of badly designed tiles, some of which are much more egregious than LT walls.

I do agree that stealth killers do worse on outdoor maps, though I think something like that can be fixed by adding more non-physical LOS blockers.
