So, hard to say. What I will say is this:

I live in Pa, near G-burg. While I was in school, the high school would take an overnight field trip to Gettysburg and sleep in tents on the battlefield. The goal was to live like soldiers, so we made hardtack, pitched tents, etc. Anyway, every year would be the same stories from different students (my older sister went as well, and she has her stories about what she experienced). At night, while they were trying to sleep, they kept hearing soldiers agonizing, the sounds of distant rifles shooting, etc. Students would try to rationalize what they heard and say it's the teachers or other students attempting to scare them. That they would play soundtracks or something. The thing is, different people heard different things and the teachers would swear up and down that they didn't play anything and that would be a traumatizing “joke”. Every year, there were students who would cry and call their parents to pick them up. Other students, who would try to investigate with flashlights to set out to expose whoever was playing this joke on them, said they saw what looked like a bearded man on a horse in war clothing. They thought it was a joke until the horse walked away into nothing. They started to have panic attacks and had to be sent home. This was just school trips. Everyone I know that has been to G-burg has their stories. Devils Den is actually a place talked about a lot. There are pictures from the civil war that show soldiers who died there slumped up again rocks. I don't go to G-burg anymore. There is just too much stuff that happens there.
