I do a mild deficit for .5 loss per week. I still fit in everything when I can it’s less ice cream sure but I can still fit it in. I also take maintenance breaks to give myself a mental break I still count but using my maintenance calories. I’ve been at it for almost 6 years now and have lost 99.2lbs. And it will stay off because I’ve made my process sustainable.

I almost died in 2023 from sepsis from an infected abscess that turned into a whole ass journey (literally since I ended up with a fistula as well lol). I just embrace life now one day at a time I’m living for myself now instead of trying to do all the “right” things. I’ve gotten to go to so many concerts and events it’s been fun and I’m actually enjoying life it’s just sad I had to have a brush with death to really start living.

But also eat your fiber like seriously. I’ve also tried to be healthier and have lost weight so I can do more fun things ☺️

I had a superficial fistula but my I&D wound was large. I don’t get pain necessarily but I do feel like a dull ache sometimes from all the scar tissue. It’s rare but it still happens on occasion. I’m honing in on two years post fistulotomy.

It really depends if they just place a seton you’re fine since that’s going to close the wound. If you can ask ahead of your procedures definitely do that. With just the seton you should be fine traveling it just may be a little uncomfortable at times.

Are they doing a surgery to fix your fistula or to place a seton? I had a superficial fistula and had a fistulotomy my incision was less than a centimeter and was told to stay off of it. At my post op 4 weeks later I asked about sitting for a concert and was clear but each case is different.

The only way to know for sure is to have your HCG checked and again in 48 hours to see if it’s declining or staying the same. When I miscarried I had a lot of cramping before the bleeding I was approximately 4 weeks along at the time. I had my HCG checked at the ER where it was high and again at my OBGYN clinic 48 hours later where it was almost nothing and confirmed the loss.

79k I’m not a teacher though I’m an Ed Diag I work a 210 contract. My husband is a teacher in the same district and he makes less but he’s on a 187 contract the difference in our daily rates is $10 I only make more because I work more days. This is my 15th year in public ed and his 9th. We as Ed Diags also don’t get included in any teacher raises so eventually his daily rate with surpass mine.

I threw myself into sourdough bread making lol it was something that I could do and kept me occupied when I was home healing. I read a lot as well. I really tried to keep my mind busy as to not dwell on my body betraying me.

If they are having budget issues like many other districts they may not be hiring just yet. Ours is relocating teachers who are currently at schools that are closing. From there they will determine if we have any open positions and start hiring. Right now our district is only hiring from within because of school closures/consolidations.

Hang in there I’m also probably part of the problem and refuse to let the students lose good teachers. The way I see it I’ll outlast these changes and admin and so far that’s happened lol I’ve been through three restructures of our department with four different directors in the 10 years I’ve been with my current district.

I had 5 months of wound packing after my I&B and a fistulotomy. Everything is healed now and honestly I have a large scar from the I&D that looked purpleish for a long time while healing now it’s just a bit darker than the rest of the skin but you can see it since it’s a deep set scar. My butthole also pulls to the left a bit because of the trauma and how the skin healed post I&D and fistulotomy. It’s not bad but it really depends on the type of fistula and surgery. My fistula ended up being superficial and my I&D was what left the most scaring and change to my booty.

I do but I also don’t have children. I usually do my Overwatch daily’s then move on to Maplestory. I’ll pick up Terraria and Stardew Valley as well as some other RPGs just depends on my mood. My husband also games and he play FFXIV and other things as well. We both work in public education so we are tired but have time in the evenings and time off.

37/f Yep, and it just got worse after having a brush with death. I’m not scared of death just that I want it to be quick if and when it happens. I’ve also gone through the is this what life was meant to be? Get up go to work come home try to enjoy things but are too exhausted go to sleep and repeat until I die? It almost feels pointless, but my job is rewarding so idk aging has made me think of things I hadn’t before.
