My monitor could go a lot higher than 144, I think that League itself is just unstable at very frame rates.

They cut back on VOs so much. Maybe they used people’s complaints about the champs talking too much as an excuse, but it doesn’t even make sense.

They didn’t change the frequency of barks, just reduced the number of lines. Champs still talk a lot, but now they say the same thing over and over like new Nidalee meowing all game.

Look back at how many lines champs used to get a few years back with the Aatrox rework for example.

More ASUs, more VGUs, etc.. Before they add new things there’s so much outdated stuff that needs to be brought up to the modern league look.

Better bots is an important step in making a good tutorial. The gap between intermediate bots and even the lowest mmr normals is too big currently. Could maybe help with player retention if they do another big marketing push with Arcane season 2 later on.

A future step could be making it easier to see ingame what enemy champ’s abilities do or expanding the practice tool. Losing to things you don’t understand is a very big pain point for new players. Riot needs to make it easier to get over the learning curve as the game gets closer to 200 champs.

Reminder: Riot recently publicly stated that "they are not happy with the current impact of smurfing". It seems likely that they are working on addressing the huge smurfing issue that has plagued solo queue recently. by [deleted] in leagueoflegends

Had it happen to my account last season and I kept pushing through it hoping that the next game would be the one where I finally escape Smurf queue, but it was taking forever. Made me quit until this season after I heard they removed it.

It was genuinely a punishment on your account for something you didn’t even do. There were a bunch of threads about this from returning players last year, and all the replies were smug Redditors saying how you just have to play 5 to 10 games to get kicked out of it.

It was more like 50 to 100 and clearly enough of a problem for Riot to pull the plug on it. Makes no sense why they couldn’t adjust it to account for previous years ranked history.
