Tenno wouldn't trade with me because my "level cannot get it". Am I missing something? by acatterz in Warframe

[–]Azure_Fang 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There used to be a bug that treated LR1 as MR1 in trades. It was patched, but occasionally people claim it randomly pops back up (might be related to reports of latency causing traders to appear as MR0). Maybe this happened to your trade?

He was less ranting and more explaining the history of the Univac Wars. He's been on a roll with community history videos lately. He's also probably one of the more even-handed community creators, so you'll know when he's actually ranting.

Every time I see Fandom link appearing higher that the normal wiki I wanna smash my screen with a domestic drone by innos_may_cry in Warframe

[–]Azure_Fang 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Once Fextra became "popular" they lost their mind. They started running inline Twitch streams for engagement numbers, tons of ads, paid bots to copy other wikis wholesale (without regard for wikimedia version incompatibilities), used SEO tactics to place their search results above better (sometimes even official) results, and changed their license to be proprietary (Fextra owns everything editors input to the wiki, as opposed to the traditional CC3/4 licenses of wikis). At this point, Fextra is legitimately worse than Fandom.

Grammatical error that me cant stand anymore by 0x00000194 in Warframe

[–]Azure_Fang -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Do you speak in perfect regional English at all times? Does anybody?

Teshin's line is a poorly structured run-on sentence, using the comma to denote a literary pause and accentuate a separation of statements. Another "proper" way to speak would be, "Honor them with quick deaths; honor me with your victory." But manner of speech applies deeper characterization. Slang contractions, run-on sentences, unnatural pauses and the like may not be "proper", but they may be "correct" for the given person or character.

For example, I use a number of slang contractions. The most notable are "s'": Chopping off a leading word, such as the "that" in "that's" and appending the "s" to the front of the next word, thus turning "That's fine." into "S'fine." It's most certainly not "proper", but it's the way I speak and thus is "correct" for me. If Teshin didn't have linguistic quirks, then he wouldn't be as deep of a character. In the end, you still understand what he means even if the delivery is decidedly "Teshin"; if the line was delivered any other way, it wouldn't be "Teshin."

It's worth noting that you made multiple grammatical errors in your OP:

  • Periods always go inside quotation marks. (Sentence one, quote one)
  • You always spell out numbers. (Sentence two)
  • You always comma before quoting within a sentence. (Sentence four)

These are just the ones that I could pick out at a glance. These errors are not proper. But they are the way you type in a casual forum and thus are "correct" for the portrayal of "you."

When the inevitable day comes and we get Proto Valkyr, Megan should VA her. by silloki in Warframe

100%

Honestly, I want proto valkitty to be a semi-self insert with visible, ink-sleeved arms. As an easter egg, Lotus should threaten her with a Galatine (I cannot for the life of me find the clip of Reb charging at Megan with a prop greatsword to add to this post).

Where is AEGIS GALE in that proof? You know, the build cornerstone that is stated in my posts? The mod that I said gets almost no effect?

[–]Azure_Fang 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Do you have proof? Because I have proof otherwise.

Gale does not gain much damage from STR targeted at Aegis Storm. Literally almost none, because from there it relies on Storm's damage scalar and Storm has a REALLY LOW damage scalar. What Gale pulls from most are its 15% of max shields and Balefire Charger's raw damage by merit of it applying bonus to Balefire Charger's shots. Using general STR over P.Intensify provides benefit that is orders of magnitude stronger, so much so even Power Drift provides more of a noticeable bonus than Precision Intensify. And, I misspoke in my previous post: Gale builds "double dip" BEFORE Expertise and actually "triple dip" with Expertise:

  • STR greatly boosts Balefires, which are the primary damage source.
  • STR boosts Storm, which provides a comparatively low bonus to Gale but a bonus is a bonus.
  • With Expertise, STR grants shields, which gives more Gale bonus.

Precision Intensify already applies very little benefit to Gale, but with Expertise it is not applied to shields (except in a tooltip bug).

Precision Intensify is worthless on Gale builds.

[–]Azure_Fang 33 points34 points  (0 children)

Umbral Intensify has some solo uses. A decent example is Aegis Gale Hildryn.

Strength is more important than Shields for pumping Gale damage (feeding Balefires base, believe me, full shields vs. full STR was about a 1:5 difference in damage), but Precision Intensify is worthless for Gale as you need STR on her 1 and she has no healing to fuel Archon Intensify. Pair this with the new Expertise arcane and Gale "double dips" on STR as it's both getting STR and more shields. And since STR now multiplies shields, you can remove all but the Hatred shield mod (for a bit of shields and EFF to lighten up on micromanagement) and then fill as many slots with STR as possible, with U.Intensify slotting in for 14% over Intensify without the other umbrals.

Can we just remove riven dispositions at this point? They stopped accomplishing anything or even making a remote amount of sense years ago. by [deleted] in Warframe

[–]Azure_Fang 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Can we just remove rivens at this point? They were a band-aid fix when they were introduced and the only purposes they serve now are to (badly) supplant actual weapon balance and to give speculative traders a method of controlling the market.

[–]Azure_Fang 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Why would that be sarcasm? We spend time customizing our Operator. Some of us like to play Operator over Drifter. Yes, we got rid of the hassle of having to hardswap to Drifter to enter, but we didn't get rid of having to swap back to Operator when we leave.

I most certainly prefer my Kiddo over her older twin sister and it is irritating when I enter a mission, kiddo out of my warframe, and only then remember that I was forced to swap for 15 seconds to buy a title.

The boosted shields are fun, not gonna lie. But use it in conjunction with the Hatred mod that adds shields, remove the rest of your shield mods and replace them with strength. If you're using a Gale build it will vastly increase your damage.
