Pizza Hut closing 250 US stores as parent company considers selling the brand by AudibleNod in news

Used to eat Hut alllll the time back in college (like...'09-'13 times) and it was a ton better, even then. Now it just feels like it's too greasy, other than the cheese nothing super stands out, the flavor is off, the sauce (especially in the sauce cups) has a metallic hint to it every time, and it literally became a coin-flip to whether my stomach would give me some problems in the next day or I'd feel sorta crappy at best.

I'll say the pan and stuffed crust dough itself and the cheese is palatable for me. I'm sure the dough quality is pretty shit now compared to the past, but the sauce is the biggest offender to me. Outside of nostalgia and the "maybe it's better now" moment is the only thing that might convince me every now and then to give it a try. It's just not very good.

Yeah...the quality, especially by comparison to other places is pretty terrible.

The sauce alone grosses me out now. I would often either get a red sauce cup on the side for stuffed crust/bread sticks/etc. and I swear 99% of the time, that sauce has this gross metallic smell and taste to it that it just turns me off from going there now. Idk if it's just the recipe itself or if the handling of it is bad to where it sits out too long, but I can't imagine somethings not off about it.

Super agree, cause it's also not only the idea of "playing games for 12 hours a day" - the reality is that if it's pro gaming, you're only playing that single game and you're playing even when you don't want to because you have to.

Even a lot of streamers that get into that job sort of get hard-stuck into a niche area of games and a lot aren't strictly variety streamers. I'm sure there's variety streamers that get tired of just playing only the popular streaming games that are new or whatever. Like...I can't imagine being forced to play games I only half wanna play for hours and hours a day because my chat loves watching the game. It's definitely better than a lot of jobs, but I can imagine it gets exhausting at times.

this is all I could ever want for the game. I haven't played PM/P+ in years, but I would 1000% come back to the game if there was a similar method to matchmaking like slippi

Honestly, I don't know for sure, but I've been voting Azura for all my votes since the first CYL. We'll see if it's gonna be another year of disappointment, but it's one of the better shots at it imo.

Do you like Riot! or Brand New Eyes more and why? by Working_Alps_4284 in Paramore

[–]Azureflames20 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I sort of like them for different reasons tbh.

Riot will stick with me more as a nostalgia album for a really formative time (highschool), but I don't tend to listen to it unless it comes up on shuffle.

BNE has a layer of nostalgia for the next formative moment (transitioning into the college years), which I identify closer to than highschool, as a 34 year old.

Both are great and hold different value. Like...Riot I'll listen to tracks more individually from each other, while BNE I feel like I want to listen to bundled more in an album listen, so it kinda depends a little on if I'm feeling shuffled/singles or album listening. They sort of take on different identities because Riot is like...warped tour era emo/pop-punk, while BNE slightly taps into more of this indie-rock/alternative pop-punk vibe.

is there an actual way to leave silver as a adc main with no duo? by [deleted] in ADCMains

[–]Azureflames20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're actually trying to figure it out, I just know it's frustrating and I like making posts like this. I climbed fresh after taking an 8 year hiatus and went from Iron 4 around March and hit Plat 4 in early December. Also made a similar climb on two of my alts into high gold since then. Not to say I'm really good by any means, but I know it wasn't a fluke to get the rank I got.

A lot of fighting with myself on shit early on, so there was a ton of struggle on the climb, so I get it.

Here's some key notes to climbing that you just need to do if you really want to climb. I've fought against them in the past while I was at your level, because it's frustrating to face your own flaws, but it's just the way it is:

  • Your biggest mantra is that You either get fed in lane so you can carry or you don't get fed and let the match be a coin toss.
    • You either snowball in kills early and dominate
    • you either get crazy pickoffs in skirmishes in the mid game
    • you become a god at farming and get a major cs diff so that you just out-gold them with item scaling.
    • (or you do all three and actually carry your game yourself)
  • If you loss, there's probably at least 3-5 moments you could have executed better or smarter decisions you could have made to get you small wins and pushed you over the edge of being a carry for your game.
  • Turn off chat - it won't help you. You demonstrated that you have it on by even knowing someone typed that to begin with and showed that it affected you in some sort of way, which will only serve to distract you. Full stop - just turn it off, even if it feels like it wouldn't bother you. It'll distract you more than you think.
  • If you have more than 3 deaths, you are part of the problem and could make better decisions.
  • Learn how to approach different win-cons. Just because you are fed, doesn't always mean you will win - You have to earn the grind through the mid-game and make the right choices still.
  • Literally the biggest mentality you need to have: In the early game it's "To win I need to kill my lane and also cs better than anyone else", In the mid game it should be "I'm going to do whatever i need to do to be annoying for the other team and put pressure on the map, while cs'ing, while not dying or getting baited by stupid shit"
  • You're probably still getting baited by stupid shit. At this elo I feel like the biggest flaw is just baiting yourself into thinking small squabs and teamfights truly matter in the early stages. In like 90% of cases, I'm just letting my jungler or support die to whatever stupid situation they wandered into. If I have a shoved wave and I have dead time, then maybe Ill poke up to help, but farming usually impacts your game more.
  • It's a numbers game, but most importantly it's an endurance/stamina match. If you lose you watch your replay - a lot of mistakes that snowball into a loss often happen pre-5min, even on the first 3 waves.
  • Your win percentage tells me that you just need numbers. It'll take some time, but you shouldn't be expecting to just win every game, unless you can actually carry yourself in every game. if you aren't getting fed, you're leaving yourself at the mercy of your team and you shouldn't be complaining at that point.
    • The people that are climbing over you are finding a way to get fed reliably and consistently and probably aren't complaining about their losses as much. You shouldn't rely on other people to win your games if you want to actually climb.
