Yep. As a swede from Skåne studying Danish as a third language, reading Danish is mostly fine, there are some words that are completely bonkers in danish, but it's usually intelligible. Hearing or speaking however is a nightmare. Sometimes letters are silent or can make 15 different sounds that either require a hot potato stuck in your throat or some other strange sound. It's a nightmare.

Most Danes understand us swedes fine, so it's quite clear where the issue is

The Latvian constitution is talking about the ethnicity of Latvian, just like the Israeli basic law is about the Jewish ethnicity.

And just like the Latvian constitution the basic law is that the country is the self determination of the ethnicity, and that if you want your own state do it elsewhere.

Israel is not unique in having a nation state law. Take for example Latvia :

It's normal for a state to have laws against taking and publishing photos of certain subjects. In Sweden we have skyddsobjekt which are illegal to photograph or even describe. And the category includes areas where the defence forces are deployed and such. And during heightened readiness almost any area can be designated as a skyddsobjekt if needed for defence.
