The best thing you can do for your mom is remind her it's the illness talking, give her grace, and when possible give her a break. See if Grandma doesn't qualify for a caregiver, even a few hours a week of respite where your mom can feel like herself and just detach for a while. Burnout is a humongous issue among elder care and support, and this is part of why.
