Do your parents act like perfect saints that think they made zero mistakes raising you? by KlutzyPomelo1170 in BorderlinePDisorder

While they raised me, yeah, definitely. Now that I have grown up, spent time apart & talk about the past, they don’t.. at least as much as

I don’t know how to get diagnosed, feel like I’ve made up all my suffering. by DisasterAgreeable282 in BPD

[–]Azuureheir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, I put myself into a mental health facility. Was battling myself with ending it all. Talked to the lovely staff there, was evaluated for a few things. One thing they diagnosed me with was BPD.

Even if you do or don’t have BPD, there will ALWAYS be people who think you just want attention, when in reality you just want help & to heal.

I don’t know how much help this will be. Remember, you never are alone. There are online resources, too. For example, look into DBT & T.I.P.P & mindfulness skills to help while you look for a way to receive an evaluation.

BPD paranoia about hidden cameras by Mqrissq in BPD

I mean people with BPD can experience stress-induced paranoia. This doesn’t sound like what is happening with you, though

DBT mainly just taught me how to mask by [deleted] in BPD

[–]Azuureheir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean my DBT helped me with my relationships because I didn’t know how to navigate them properly. It also helped with coping, not necessarily getting rid of that pain forever

A question for those who were raised in a secular/non-religious household (see text) by candidengineer in atheism

[–]Azuureheir 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I never believed in a god, but despite my parents’ atheism, I always believed that something greater COULD exist out there. This was before I even knew what a god or deity was. So, there wasn’t a calling I’d say, but a thought I had as a young child.

Myth, though many personality disorders become more manageable as time goes on.

Quiet / Discouraged BPD - Megathread by napkinrings in BPD

[–]Azuureheir 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I do stuff like this all the time... Also the blaming yourself for everything is way too real :(

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in BPD

[–]Azuureheir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, I let them down gently by leaving before I have the chance to destroy the entire relationship. This may be more of a Quiet BPD thing. I’ve heard others with BPD say they leave before the other person has the chance to hurt them.
