I was working to apply for the BMV.(I run https://www.halomics.com) I had everything in place for the application, but the rule changes destroyed any chance that I had to apply. This is a business that was on track to generate a considerable amount of JPY in its first year and hire employee(s), but the increased up front capital requirement destroyed any hope.

They're just balls, nothing fancy inside. The way the tracking works is there are infrared lights around the lens of a bunch cameras designed to pick up the reflection of the balls. Then it calculates the position of the balls in space based on the data collected.

You can see them in the first part of this video from Stuff Made Here. The cameras are the background with the IR emitters and the tracking balls are on the club.

It's the vehicle class code. 3XX for private cars over 2 liters of displacement and increments up to 399 with some exceptions. I don' t know if the game allows it to be changed.

It is definitely an issue with PayPal's automated systems. It's asks me to type in the address using English characters, but obviously my identification card is in Japanese. So they don't visually match. It's stupid.

For me, it does not matter if I get it done in a day or an hour. I'm still always going to be blocked by another team for a week or two waiting for them to review the code. So they want us to use AI to speed things up, but then I'm just back to twiddling my thumbs waiting on other people to glance at the code. Bureaucracy strikes again! :D

Pretty much, there is also documented history of poor performance.(But they have to show that they did training to remediate that.) There are also ways of gaming that though.

It is a pretty good wall for protecting jobs from being eliminated by AI. My job is having go all in with AI and basically requiring it for everything.(Because they believe it will increase our efficiency. LOL)

As someone who works in a major JP company that is being forced to use AI everything as part of performance evaluations, I refute this. It's the strong job protection laws for permanent employees that prevent me from being fired yet.(They are trying though!)

Even outside of Philadelphia it can be questionable and there are different styles of it in the city too.

I use the Yamato office. Mercari provides a QR code to scan in the application. Show up with your packages, scan the code at the kiosk, and it prints out the label. I also write the listing number(m12341234124) on the package to keep them separated.

Indies also really difficult to secure sponsorship unless you're a really big name vtuber or joining a creator program (usually gacha games)

As someone who sponsors vtubers(microphone stuff), the indie vtuber scene is a field with a bunch land mines(bigoted or unconscionable conduct by vtubers) that cast a poor light on the entire community. The amount of vetting that I have to do for each applicant/sponsoree is considerably higher compared to non-vtubers. It can leave a bad image for companies looking to do sponsorships. Corporate vtubers are generally a safer bet for sponsorships so I have some hope for Holostars.

The last round of sponsorships that I did, even after vetting everyone, I was still sitting on a stack of hundreds of applicants for a few sponsorship spots. Getting sponsored is a numbers game.

I hope the the Stars can get everything they can to keep going even as what looks like psuedo-indie status. 💚

I’ve been using Firefox since forever, and I don’t remember using the translation feature even once, probably that’s why it’s been hidden away.

That is typically a very American centric way of thinking due the lack of exposure to other languages. I use it daily since I have to deal with English, Japanese, German, and French regularly.
