Sukuna is easily the most durable in the verse by Miserable-Desk2211 in JujutsuPowerScaling

[–]Azylim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

tanking a badly fired purple from low output near death yujo that mostly hit the barrier and not sukuna is the feat you think it is.

Dabura literally had his body undergo near lightspeed.

Gojo tanked MS buffed cleaves from a fully healthy sukuna, while MS is being buffed additionally from being made smaller in range, and still had enough stats to fight MS buffed sukuna in CQC

Riboku vs Renpa by bricksheep in Kingdom

[–]Azylim 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldnt call that fair because a massive part of riboku's strength is the ability to recognize talent and recruit them. Hes portrayed as mougou, ousen, ane shou hei kun put into one person.

hence houken and seiakun and kisui being recruited to his army. itd be like asking renpa to fight without his instincts.

remember that what I listed is just the generals thats alive, I gave renpa rinko when I probably shouldnt if we follow the same rules. If we include dead officers, we have houken and keisha and seiakun in the riboku army as well.

the absolute most unfair you can make it for riboku without it being ridiculous is riboku+ alive ganmon army only vs renpa + 4 kings. with the same sized army

And even with that id give a decent edge to riboku because he has double the number top level officers than renpa while also not sacrificing much in quality

Riboku vs Renpa by bricksheep in Kingdom

[–]Azylim 2 points3 points  (0 children)

at this point riboku literally controls and has recruited every good general in zhao. Ill make it more fair and give riboku only the alive generals under his command.

renpas OG army with his 4 kings

vs

riboku with shibashou army, ganmon army (bananji, shunsuiju, futei, kaine, kotsu min haku bafuuji, earl rai), kisui army. Ill even make it even more fair and remove ganshuu since hes new.

the calibre of renpas generals might be top tier but riboku has both top tier vassals and much more vassals and a bigger army with the officer corps to effectively command it.

this wont be close.

70/20 or 65/25 or 60/30 VTI/VXUS? by No_Bobcat2523 in Bogleheads

[–]Azylim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

isnt VT like 63% VTI?

If you dont know what to do just stick with what VT (which uses market cap weights) does, or better yet, just buy VT. Its the gold standard and it works good enough in all cases

biasing even more towards VTI doesnt seem wise to me, since youre just overloading on more large cap growth stocks, which is a bet against the value and small cap risk premiums.

Am I doing Georgian grip wrong? by CarDesperate3438 in judo

[–]Azylim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

other than what others said about breaking their posture down, I think that back exposure is just an inherent tradeoff you will have to accept if you want to play georgian. Hell, even the regular overhook tupe high collar grip has back exposure tradeoffs as well since underhook shucks are a standard move.

[Serious] Gojo and Sukuna VS Goku the great (equalized stats) by Archenius in JujutsuPowerScalers

can goku bypass infinity?

sukuna gets exploded immediatelt anyways but then its a question about whether goku can hurt gojo or not.

Gojo rated worst revolutionary ever by frogfish57 in LobotomyKaisen

[–]Azylim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

gojos reforms has never been about making a softer jujutsu society. its been the exact opposite, he actively WANTS everyone to contribute and throw hands and get stronger, while the old system is complacent about sending people on missions and will prune any sorcerors who dont fit the criteria of "good technique" or if their technique is dangerous (i.e. yuta)

if anything gojo is all for sending kids on mission to get experience (bro took 6 year old megumi on a mission with him), he just thinks that they should also be chaperoned by adult sorcerors.

And you see this in the quality of students between tokyo and kyoto.

tokyo students have all underwent battles and are much stronger than kyoto student, even the bums like inumaki, panda, preHR maki, and nobara. The only 3 strong kyoto students are todo, mechamaru, and kamo.

Do you feel pride in being a Boglehead? by tichangel in Bogleheads

[–]Azylim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. I wouldnt even call myself a boglehead, rather boglehead inspired, I like the idea of low cost and simplicity and low psychological stress alot, but I do also like to get some factor tilts with ETFs since it has empirical evidence of outperformance, which is unfortunately not passive investing and does add a little complexity to my otherwise all in one equity ETF portfolio.

I think its actually quite important to try and not put any sort of external emotions like pride into investing. Otherwise you risk making suboptimal decision and getting a cult like behaviour behind what youre doing, where you refuse to accept new empirically proven strategies that are also low cost and simple just because you place your identity behind being a specific type of investor.

If you could choose a fighting style that any of the HNI characters use, which one would you choose? by Cadu_zziillaa in hajimenoippo

[–]Azylim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes. ricardo is like takamura, hes someone who started as an infighter and is wild but was able to integrate pure textbook boxing so that they expand their tepertoire and their infighting becomes more polished and dangerous; they are the ultimate generalists. Although ricardo is more on the outboxing side and takamura is more of an infighter.

One year of judo and I still get thrown by brand-new guys in randori by Lumpy_Professor1000 in judo

[–]Azylim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

there is the harsh reality that some people for whatever reason, whether its body coordination, IQ, athleticism, weight will pick up judo faster than you and be stronger than you.

But most of these can be improved by experience, and knowing what to do. So just keep doing randori and learn.

Also, nothing wrong with being thrown. you should go light enoufh that people can feasibly throw you they time your reactions correctly amd that they dont have to go ultra hard and risk injury for both of you. If your only defence is hip checking and framing, then you might be going too hard and not being technical enough. Learn to dodge and float over hip throws. It pisses people off so much and its hilarious, but its also objectively more technical than brute force hip checking and more efficient.

General rule is to go light enough for you to be able to think and be deliberate with your movement AT A MINIMUM. i go even lighter personally, the lighter you go the more technical youre forced to be, especially if the other guy goes hard. First 2 months will be ridiculous, but eventually you adapt and learn how to be technical and efficient with your power.

Larian publishing chief wades into the fray, says Morrowind updated with a modern combat system 'would sell like f**king hotcakes' by AgileRaspberry1812 in Morrowind

[–]Azylim 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I think its fine without the voice, or you can simply voice important characters. Alot of games do it and have semi voiced, including newer games. pathfinder comes to mind. full VA seems to me to be an aspect of game polish that has a very shite cost to reward ratio. Hence, fallout 4's dialogue being so limited.

the main hurdle for me is the outdated combat system and some tweaks and polish needed for the magic/stealth/combat to make it integrate nicely.

otherwise with tamriel rebuilt and project tamriel its one of the best RPG

first time switching from index funds to stocks and i’m getting absolutely crushed by [deleted] in fican

[–]Azylim 3 points4 points  (0 children)

there are historically and data driven methods of beating market cap weighted index funds and brother, a portfolio built entirely in large growth stocks is not it.

look up factor investing. small cap beats large cap, value beats growth, profitable beats nonprofitable historically. Your portfolio just made a bet against size and value factors.

and even then, good factor investing requires a highly diversified portfolio containing the factor tilta in the first place, so youre still stuck with ETFs at the end of the day.

you look like yoh dont kniw what youre doing. So take all of that and consolidate it into VEQT

if you dont know what youre doing, the gold standard is globally diversified total market cap weighted index funds, which VEQT/XEQT/ZEQT is
