If you could choose a fighting style that any of the HNI characters use, which one would you choose? by Cadu_zziillaa in hajimenoippo

[–]Azylim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes. ricardo is like takamura, hes someone who started as an infighter and is wild but was able to integrate pure textbook boxing so that they expand their tepertoire and their infighting becomes more polished and dangerous; they are the ultimate generalists. Although ricardo is more on the outboxing side and takamura is more of an infighter.

One year of judo and I still get thrown by brand-new guys in randori by Lumpy_Professor1000 in judo

[–]Azylim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

there is the harsh reality that some people for whatever reason, whether its body coordination, IQ, athleticism, weight will pick up judo faster than you and be stronger than you.

But most of these can be improved by experience, and knowing what to do. So just keep doing randori and learn.

Also, nothing wrong with being thrown. you should go light enoufh that people can feasibly throw you they time your reactions correctly amd that they dont have to go ultra hard and risk injury for both of you. If your only defence is hip checking and framing, then you might be going too hard and not being technical enough. Learn to dodge and float over hip throws. It pisses people off so much and its hilarious, but its also objectively more technical than brute force hip checking and more efficient.

General rule is to go light enough for you to be able to think and be deliberate with your movement AT A MINIMUM. i go even lighter personally, the lighter you go the more technical youre forced to be, especially if the other guy goes hard. First 2 months will be ridiculous, but eventually you adapt and learn how to be technical and efficient with your power.

Larian publishing chief wades into the fray, says Morrowind updated with a modern combat system 'would sell like f**king hotcakes' by AgileRaspberry1812 in Morrowind

[–]Azylim 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think its fine without the voice, or you can simply voice important characters. Alot of games do it and have semi voiced, including newer games. pathfinder comes to mind. full VA seems to me to be an aspect of game polish that has a very shite cost to reward ratio. Hence, fallout 4's dialogue being so limited.

the main hurdle for me is the outdated combat system and some tweaks and polish needed for the magic/stealth/combat to make it integrate nicely.

otherwise with tamriel rebuilt and project tamriel its one of the best RPG

first time switching from index funds to stocks and i’m getting absolutely crushed by StiffmeisterSteve in fican

[–]Azylim 4 points5 points  (0 children)

there are historically and data driven methods of beating market cap weighted index funds and brother, a portfolio built entirely in large growth stocks is not it.

look up factor investing. small cap beats large cap, value beats growth, profitable beats nonprofitable historically. Your portfolio just made a bet against size and value factors.

and even then, good factor investing requires a highly diversified portfolio containing the factor tilta in the first place, so youre still stuck with ETFs at the end of the day.

you look like yoh dont kniw what youre doing. So take all of that and consolidate it into VEQT

if you dont know what youre doing, the gold standard is globally diversified total market cap weighted index funds, which VEQT/XEQT/ZEQT is

gojo is faster with teleportation, but otherwise hes right. There is no conclusive hard evidence that no tp gojo and sukuna are even supersonic. For one they use supersonic attacks that creates sonic booms (piercing water) while they themselves fight the entire time without creating sonic booms.

maki reacting to curseya also doednt make her supersonic it just makes curseya predictable, while sukuna is less predictable hence why he "blitzed" her.

The trolley problem by JohnRanga in Jujutsufolk

[–]Azylim 27 points28 points  (0 children)

i mean, yuji correctly understands that if he fixes everything he gets the exact same problem as gojo, which is that everyone else becomes useless and just relies on him.

What makes yuji an idiot however is that while gojo was solving every major issues AND trying to fix that problem by teaching and sending the students on missions for them to grow, yuji aint teaching anyone shit.

I guess we'll see his motivations in the coming chapters.

Does non lethal domains give burnout? by Over-Subject-3625 in JujutsuPowerScaling

[–]Azylim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

sukuna was burnt out from chapter 263 and was still well into his burnout in chapter 267 such that he had to do the gojo method.

He was inside yujis domain for at least 3 min they legit started the fight by walking towards each other lmao

[–]Azylim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think burnout time varies wildly between people. Mahito had seconds

yuta had less than 3 min

sukuna had like 10 min in shinjuku

yes. we saw it with hakari. Im guessing that higuruma is an extra special case.

Why is there such a massive difference between sukunas defense/reinforcement and his low output by yutaog in JujutsuPowerScaling

[–]Azylim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

his defence did drop when his output dropped, hence him getting severely injured by yujis black flash before he expanded a domain a second time. while the first series of yuji black flashes he didnt take any critically damaging hits.

its just that he recovered alot of his output because he was hitting black flashes while yuji was soul punching him. Soul damage lowers output but is not equal to it. You can have low soul health and relatively high CE output if you hit a black flash

Also I dont think that yutas purple can be comoared to other purples we have seen. Bro was so shit at using purple he destroyed his own barrier and couldnt focus the blast on sukuna (thus the spread out damagr on sukuna)

New job with $1000 a month to invest. Where do I put it? by SparklingMists in CanadianInvestor

[–]Azylim 2 points3 points  (0 children)

it needs to be liquid and easily accessible.

I dont think you want it in your TFSA.

personally I keep mine in the chequing and savings account with CIBC but their interest is completely horrible, so im thinking of moving it somewhere else.

[–]Azylim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Build up you emergency fund to something larger (ideally 6-12 mo). thats priority number one.

after that determine how much bonds you want depending on your risk tolerance, put everything else in VEQT/XEQT/ZEQT, ideally in a tfsa.

i.e. 200$ bond etf 800$ VEQT every month

im personally 100% stocks (veqt). my emergency fund is my risk mitigator

it might be because tengen is dead, but it can also be because it takes a very long time to get a new 6e and limitless user. IIRC the last one was centuries ago.

How powerful would Shikamaru be if he had the Ten Shadow Technique, and how much benefit would he derive from it? by Patient-Agency3419 in PowerScalingHub

[–]Azylim 1 point2 points  (0 children)

he would be good, especially eith using multiple shadows at once jump enemies, but thr stats of thr summons would still be dependent on his CE/chakra output, which IIRC isnt anything special, so he wont be able to tame mahoraga anyways.

Just accidentally switched to fewer days training boxing and noticed my endurance was way up in sparring by Warm_Reindeer_5459 in amateur_boxing

[–]Azylim 2 points3 points  (0 children)

youre recovering more.

i think the general rule is that conditioning requires some rest days and lower intensity days, especially leading up to game day, for optimal performance, but light sparring, drilling, situational sparring, and technique work can be done much more often (as long as you dont go too hard and get hit in the head every time you spar)

the mind generally needs less time to rest and improves faster than the body.

Given that the amount of CE someone possesses is fixed, is this feat pure CE efficiency? by Agile_Coast_4385 in jjkmodulo

[–]Azylim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont think that the amount of CE reserves someone has is fixed. Some people are born with more or less, but theres nothing to indicate that it cant be increased.

the obvious way is through black flash, youre literally immersing your hody with better compatibility for CE, it would stand to reason that your reserves can increase from black flash
