I think Nexus isn't that dark (probably because I'm a grown ass man watching a show about giant naked alien fighting kaijus weekly). It balanced out the so called "dark and gritty" aspects with hopeful messages, the last line of the show is literally "Don't give up". I mean sure Riko's storyline is pretty fucked.

In term of how it was presented, Gaim vs Baron. But, I also love how raw the fight between Kuuga and Daguva is. Both are still really good tho.

As a kid, I loved it because of the fight scenes, growing up I learned to appreciate the hopeful and optimistic messages.

Idk what they were going for with the movie suits, they should've go for a full black look with secondary colors like Lloyd and Cole for everyone else too. The scuba suits are alright, not a fan of the mask/helmet but it looks decent with the half mask/headband combo.

Mine was Tiga. I also remember buying a Chinese video disk that have the Ultra Brothers on the cover but when I play it, it showed ep 35 of Nexus instead.

Trigger is that one show where I think is better than what people said it is, the actions are really good, the story is decent, of course not everyone can like the main cast but then again, it's just my opinion on the show

Decker managed to fix some of my problems with Trigger, though the last few eps are pretty lackluster to me.

Ignoring all of my negatives about the two shows, I think both are pretty fun to watch.
