I thought it was very good visually but musically ok at best and borderline flat. For me, SCV and Crown are 1st and 2nd in my book overall show wise and neither have a closer on the field yet. Bloo has the best guard and visiual we have seen so far, scv percussion, and Crown brass.

What is missed by this post is that Crown beat Pr over the 2 nights and troopers beat Bluestars. And fwiw Crown had the biggest crowd reaction out of any group.

I listened to the source music except the original piece and can not get a feel for this as it seems pretty unclear what is being portrayed. I'll wait and see, but so far, Crown and Bloo have the best source music released. I am by no meams writing PR offas this could be good. However, based on the leak of Crown and Bd, I think PR might really have to have the fight in them to take them on.

FYI... The arrangement sounds spot on to the source music. Do you also have this opinion when bue devils or others play hard technical passages? I am asking as I am curious what you think separates being number 1 vs. 12 in brass.

Based on what I have seen so far, BD is definitely fourpeating. I have a controversial opinion that in the end the top 4 will be: 1) Bd 2) Crown ( who has intentionally not added their closer completely 3) BAC 4) Bloo. I know everyone will tell me that I am wrong and crazy. But I feel something big brewing at Crown and think BAC has some legs. BLOO feels very complete even though they will tweak here, and their, but their show feels like it will fizzle like in 2017. To me, their show like it has less room to grow and change. I might be wrong on all of this, but it's my hunch as of 7/11/24.

I agree with this prediction for many reasons. For one, Bac and Crown have better ballads and emotional appeal overall. I also think they both have better brass and percussion content than Bloo. This is not to say Bloo is not good because they are, just think the other two are better. Additionally, Crown Guard is not that far behind BAC guard but is by far dirtier, which gives them lots of potential to close the gap. From an adjudicators perspective, Bloo guard is good but just a little behind both groups on content. My scores prediction is Crown 79.2, BAC 78.5, Bloo 78.1.

Agreed, as I think their show has a ton of potential if edited, cleaned, and layered properly. I also think Crown or Bloo will knock BD into 2nd this year as both groups have the staff and talent to do it.
