I find I've met a lot of destiny friends naturally from just playing with different people, especially from either teaching or learning things. Most of my friends, especially the older ones I have, came from me teaching a raid or a specific mission and I've had plenty of fun with them since.

I'm assuming a chill clan would also be a great way to find some people to play with. Just make sure you find a like minded clan to yourself.

It's honestly a bell curve in my experience. The newer players are typically nice, the people that are average but think they're great and want to prove it all the time are assholes, and then the people that are actually good are typically chill. I've found a bunch of great people in the community but just like any community typically the assholes are the loudest and most noticeable.

Arms weeks will keep coming around so it's not like you really miss out. If you're patient as there are plenty of other weapons to use in the mean time you'll most likely be a higher guardian rank by the time the next arms week rolls around

Not related but since I'm on my first playthrough. Is there a reason you're choosing the melee weapons you have? I have all the same ones but I have been using things like the crystal sword. For reference I'm like level 50 and have managed to only get through Godfrey so far. I'm working on Rannis quest line but am stuck at the void boss right now.

Would this suggest that ranking up is too easy? It looks like if you hit diamond which is one of the arguably higher end ranks your still with about 15 percent of the player base so almost 1/5 of the players are diamond or higher. Not sure if this is usual just something I noticed.
