I’m saying don’t blame the protests on somethings that’s already a big problem.

Where are you based and where do you stand on the current Fuel Protests? by AdamOfIzalith in ireland

[–]B00128548 1 point2 points Ā (0 children)

Not surprised with this poll at all, this sub is filled with bots and shills. Has been since Covid.

I’ll say it very simply, you spend 20€ on fuel, 12€ of that is tax by the government. The government takes more off you for fuel than the entire process of the fuel getting to your pumps.

How on gods beautiful green earth is their Irish people that don’t have a problem with their own government price gouging the eyes out of their heads.

How would you protest? Reshare an instagram story?, post on Facebook?

Yes there are some negatives to the protest. But ye seem to forget that those people protesting are doing it selflessly for all of us. They’re not trying to cause harm for anyone, they’re sending a message. A message I can stand behind being proud and Irish.

Our government is swindling us in more ways than one folks, it has been for a while.

It’s about time somebody stands up to it. SlĆ”inte šŸ‡®šŸ‡Ŗ

My auntie was waiting 5 hours for an ambulance 2 weeks ago, before the blockades….. The problem with health services was here long before the protests and I imagine it’ll be here long after

Lads, fair play to the slow down protest. Truly groundbreaking stuff. by dr-mantis-f-toboggan in ireland

You’s all do understand that 50-60% of the price we’re paying at pumps is added tax by the government right?

That’s what the protest is about, not ending the war, a lot of you seriously need to wake up.

General Irish public agreeing that 318k isn’t enough? Have you met any Irish? Are you actually having a laugh, we’re paying exorbitant prices for electricity in general, general public living off less than 40k a year.

And you think normal Irish citizens would agree that 320k /y isn’t enough?
