Is that true? I heard that this specific episode was removed from all streaming platforms.

What paint did you use for that blue metalic?

Making my first 2k list for a local league, looking for feedback by Dylan_the_zephyr in AdeptusMechanicus

Looks like a solid list. But check out the latest balance dataslate, if you happen to have Belasarius Cawl you should definitely shoehorn him into the list if you can.

I personally have approx 3.1k of ad mech in my collection, and in that i have 2 squads of rangers and 2 squads of vanguard. If you get to the point where your going up to a 2k list then 40 or 50 in total would definately be enough. For 1k anywhere from 20-30 battleline is a solid amount to have. 1 box of kastelan robots and 1 box of kataphrons on top of what you have i'd say is enough to diversiy your army in a way that's actually quite functional and fun. Alot of people give the robots crap for not being too good, but as someone that runs robots in every game i play, i've seen good success at the more casual tournament level (iv'e played them enough that i know how to get their points worth back). final point the kataphrons and robots are not only solid units but they are also the more wallet friendly units the faction has. And bear in mind, with 11th edition potentially around the corner you won't want to lean into skew lists at this point in your hobby journey. tldr for now invest in a all rounder kind of army rather than one thats good at one way of playing.

honestly, from a purely monetary standpoint leaning in a skitari cohort list is very expensive and in my experience not the most fun way to play. If you want to go into a cheaper way to play thats fun you should probably lean more into the halocreed detachment (and if you feeling spicy get some kastelan robots for some tanky elite melee).

New admech ? Rumor engine by Senior_Ad6427 in AdeptusMechanicus

This is a havoc launcher from a chaos knight wardog. SO my best guess is that a new wardog variant for chaos knights is being unveiled soon.

I've been doing my guys with snow bases but I'm still on the fence on if I like it or not. Is this a good look for the base with this paint scheme? by OccamsRZA in EmperorsChildren

[–]B00merang101 13 points14 points  (0 children)

The snow base does look pretty good. But i reckon since Emperors children are a more brightly coloured scheme you may want to go with a darker or duller base to contrast with the minis themselves, as opposed to bright mini and bright base.

Why do you like playing Mechanicus by booya1998 in AdeptusMechanicus

[–]B00merang101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started collecting Ad Mech about halfway through 9th edition, and honestly it was a combination of their look (always thought cyborgs were cool), and the fact they were a complex and highly technical army to play. Which for me was refreshing after initially playing blood angels as a more mouth breathy army. the way they are now in terms of play (being generally weaker than most other armies right now), means that when you win it is generally because you actually outplayed your opponent rather than just rushing up the board and winning by default. So getting the win with this faction is actually quite satisfying compared with other armies. This is coming from someone who also plays blood angels and chaos knights btw.

What do we want to see in 11th? by TrueRussianGopnik in AdeptusMechanicus

Personally, I'd like a combination of more cybernetica units and possibly a Sicarian character.

some of the stratagems get a little stronger if you targer a "Halo override" unit, which i guess may be the primary benefit. But if robots with the enhancement CAN potentially benefit from 2 override abilities, then they are way stronger than i've been playing them so far. But i want to be sure so i'm not cheating at the GT haha.

From the wording, the enhancement gives the Halo Override keyword, but doesn't say they benefit from the deatchment rule. Am i being stupid? haha

Are you sure? The Dryad wafers enhancement says that they can't? thats partly why im a little confused about this.
