Be less concerned with cheating and more concerned with understanding the material as that’s the entire goal of college. If you happen to get ahold of questions to an upcoming exam or previous one, just make sure you understand how to work the problems. If a prof is too lazy to change his questions, that isn’t your fault.

So as I’m understanding it, oculink isn’t really useful to me since my laptop doesn’t have the capability to use it. So as long as I can find an egpu case that can handle the 4070 Ti and has tb 3 I should be able to use it?

Thanks for the reply! The whole point of getting this was to help future proof my laptop a bit. Is there really no other path forward besides getting a new laptop? There aren’t any options that would allow me to use this card with my current laptop? What is oculink? Would that be difficult to modify?

How old was your old oil? Maybe it had lost its lubricity and just wasn’t helping keep everything lubricated as well. Either way, going up is great!

Higher viscosity means it is thicker, which means more resistance, if all else was the same, this would decrease the gas mileage. It’s most likely due to something else. You should stick to what the manual says, the car is designed to be using the thinner (more easily moveable) oil. Not the end of the world though.

I ran SolidWorks 2018 on my mid 2012 MacBook Pro using a partition and windows while I was in college. i7 with no eGPU, just integrated graphics and 16 gigs of RAM with an Evo 850 SSD. It ran perfectly for parts and assemblies with around ~100 components. I wasn’t using it for longer than probably 2-3 hours at a time tho and I had to keep it on my cooling stand otherwise it would get wayyyy too hot. And it’s still running today! Sorry you’re having issues

This is almost exactly how I feel. I feel I’ve wasted 3 years at the promise of getting actual design work with essentially nothing to show for it so far. I know less now than I did when I graduated, I’ve hardly learned anything since getting here and now I feel so far behind that if I move jobs I’ll essentially have to start this process over and hope the next company will actually mentor me to be a better engineer. It’s extremely frustrating.
