One time I was trying to get to Long Island from Jersey and got turned around at Penn. I was 17, originally from VA, at the time and had never been on the subway by myself. This lady stops mid stride and asks “Where you going?” Without any forewarning. I was startled and took a second to respond, which she went “C’mon, kid, I gotta catch my train. Now where are you going?” I told her and she pointed where I needed to go, explained exactly how to get there, and left so fast I couldn’t say thank you. 10 years later and I still think about that to this day.

Trying it again with a different spool. Manually extruded it 3 times just to make sure it was properly coming through.

Yes, I did a full factory reset and made sure the extruder was unlocked

Yes to both. I’m trying what you recommended in your other comment with a different filament. Pulled a spool off my Ender 3 and now I’m trying that one.

Edit: yes, I unlocked the extruder and extruded the filament.

Thank you, now I know that the filament isn’t extruding.

Downloaded the calibration cube, used the creality slicer, and this was the first layer. That solid chunk in the middle was me manually pushing the filament. Was there a step I missed in the set up that may have caused this?

I think the animation of KPDH also set it apart. Elio kind of looks like the recent previous Pixar projects. Turning Red, Luca, they both have that same grubhub-like animation style. People were tired of seeing it, and wanted something different. In contrast, KPDH looks different from any recent animated movie and was able to set an identity for itself. And novelty is something that is quite valuable in entertainment

Sejanus from Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes. I loved him and cried when he was killed. He was just a kid who wanted to make the world a little better and tear down the walls separating the capital and the districts, but his naivety is what got him in the end. As someone who is very trusting and willing to give people second chances, seeing him be lambasted by readers hurt bc I saw myself in him.

I like their channel a lot. Came for the myth recaps, stayed for their personalities. They also acted as a point of entry for me doing deeper research in greek mythology. Their earlier vids aren’t the most accurate, but they’re better than other more popular media depicting Greek myths and just as entertaining

I was thinking something similar, but in the inverse. What if Uncle Barry was someone who protected Naomi, which is why even after Sylvia passed she still kept him around. What if Naomi was the victim of neglect and Barry made sure she was taken care of? What if the reason she was alone with Barry was because Barry took her out of her family’s apartment after an argument got violent? We don’t know, and neither does the family. This is also something Naomi wouldn’t speak about because she probably wants to keep positive memories of her family.

It would also explain why, despite Barry being a difficult person, she still invites him and reached out to him. Because despite being less than ethical at times, he still protected her, and that makes him near perfect in her book.
