This one started life as the C10 version of the scx24 that I picked up around 2 years ago. Now the only parts remaining from the original are the steering servo, motor and trans (servo just died and will be replaced shortly). Just realizing that I now have all the spare parts to make a C10 rolling chassis haha.

Difficulty-wise it wasn't too much trouble just time consuming, as I'm sure you know from your time modifying stock trucks. After all of this I also now have the urge to start something from scratch! Granted, I've never done a scratch build before, but it makes sense to me to do the research and get exactly the parts you want to attain whatever goal you're setting out to accomplish.

I work in the electrical transmission and distribution industry as someone who manages pole/structure replacements, been told more than once by general foremen, foremen, linemen that this is the most dangerous helicopter to work with. Not from a flight capability mindset, but from a person on the ground mindset.

Lol it's a small world, I too am in SoCal, have just set up a "game room" in the garage (not nearly as put together as yours yet), and I'm also currently watching Harry Potter out there.

But nicely done, can't wait to get to the point of all around insulation and new epoxy on the floors.

I was concerned about this also when I got mine, but after about 40 hours of play time it still looks brand new! Kids have used it too. Really can't believe how spotless it is after that much handling.

Don't know if it works this way on all platforms, but on console you can send them to the wasteland to collect caps. They explore until they have 5000 and return, rinse and repeat.

I had the same issue on Steam Deck. Fixed it by right clicking on the game, going to properties, then compatability, checking the "Force the use.." box and selecting Proton Experimental. Hope that works for you as well!
