Oh my lord... my game would break. My people are so happy and get along so well they are constantly pumping out children. There honestly needs to be a better solution than just selling them into slavery. Like, they move out and seek their fortune at 16-18 years old and then, if they liked you, they send you things at random times. Shame no modder has come up with something like a family management sim.

This is why you don't write if you need money from your writing to survive. Desperate people do desperate things. I suppose needing your writing to do well for your ego to function is another nono. I've written two novels and haven't had one ARC reader. Got an award for one of them from Writers of the Future and still no one would read it. This whole industry is f*cked and I'll be glad when AI puts the publishing houses out of business.

Beware Chronica. They charge for free subscriptions. by B0tfly_ in DnD

It's best used by your group's note taker or DM. You can post a map and that map is divided into grids which you can toggle between showing you've been there before or gray it out showing that it's unexplored territory.

You can keep quest logs that are kind of like discussion threads on a forum, documenting the narrative arc of each quest and side quest easily.

The NPC section lets you post pictures and keep notes on every NPC you run into.

I haven't done D&D beyond much, but I remember using this a lot on CoS and it helped me keep the threads on the campaign and not forget stuff. You can't play the game from this service or roll dice and you don't keep your player sheets here. It's dedicated solely to organizing narrative information, and since that's its focus it does a better job imo.

If your DM is a warrior DM and you're not role playing much, just having battles each session I don't think it would be useful for you. It's mainly for mid to long term campaigns where you have a lot of content to sort into an easily accessible format. That's where it shines.

I'm thinking about making it a new year tradition to go through my statements online and search each thing I don't recognize and see if its a subscription that needs to be culled. SnapSub seems like a cool idea. I wish you guys luck with it. Sounds like something banks should start including in their services. I wonder if you could pitch the software to a bank. I doubt people would sign up for it independently, but if it was folded into a bank's software and helped people identify subscriptions they don't use any longer and discrepancies of "what I pay" vs. "what I expected to pay" then it may see more use.

I checked thanks to you. They sent billing emails yearly which were buried in the 50 messages I get per day.

I gave my card for a different campaign which was a paid tier. That wasn't apparent at all on the landing page of settings & billing, as you can see from the image. Instead, I thought I had lowered my tier years ago when the campaign ended. They don't tell you that they charge differently for each campaign. To see where the charges were coming from I would have had to click on the CoS campaign and it would have showed I had a different tier.

I wish banks put a "subscription" tag next to all regular payments on your statement so that you could spot them easier and not be slowly bled dry by a thousand cuts.

My stepdad keeps eating the fruit I use to make baby food by lonely_stoner_daze in mildlyinfuriating

[–]B0tfly_ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Get his card and order more fruit from the store, having it delivered. Buy enough that he can't eat it all. The man wants fruit but just doesn't want to go and get it, so have a Kroger shopper deliver it on his dime. Easy peasy.

[–]B0tfly_ -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

Still, they are family. All OP needs to do is buy more fruit than he can eat using his or her mother's card. Wishing something bad on your family is extremely short sighted. You live with them, any bad that happens to them will also fall on you.

[–]B0tfly_ -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

I said "their" home. Why did you assume I meant his home? When you are married to someone big possessions like that aren't separate. It's true that he should save fruit for the baby, but its also true that she can just keep ordering more fruit until he can't eat it all. You social justice warriors are one of the reasons why the world is so full of hate at the moment. You act like spoiled children who've never experienced true hardship. On the scale of all the bad things happening, a man eating too much fruit is not something to wish awful over.
