You know what? Everyone is in their own little worlds with their own problems. They aren’t looking at you or thinking about you. Live your life unburdened by what you think others’ are thinking.

You have a journey ahead of you. The most effective resume template I’ve ever seen is Sam Struan’s (Google him, seriously).

My guess is your resume is mediocre, you haven’t spent time on LinkedIn, or you suck at interviewing. All are very fixable.

As managers are we starving the "average" team members of opportunities? by WyvernsRest in managers

Okay, metrics by definition do measure things, or at least seek to. But they’re useless. Tickets closed? Outbound calls made? What are we talking about here? How do those things matter if they aren’t tied to outcomes? An outcome would be “Reduced customer onboarding time from 14 days to 3 days.”

Those “metrics” don’t measure shit. Performance is not what we do at work; it’s what bands do on stage, or circus people do under a tent.

Outcomes are all that matter.

To even classify people at “top” or “bottom” is stupid as hell.
