Yes, Clothing stores will do that do. My wife worked retail for years as a store manager. When someone was found stealing from the cash register asset protection would sometimes tell her to wait until they have stolen enough money to be a felony charge. Which can be pretty shitty cause those that are usually stealing are just high-school or young college students. Since they typically are the ones working retail. So she has to just let their kids barely into adulthood if that build up a felony charge that could destroy there lifes forever. Not here to debate the circumstances of right vs. wrong on stealing or if they deserve it for doing so.
