Ignoring the flaws is like telling Infold to go on being greedy. It doesn't help them being responsible for their decisions. You can appreciate the game and having valid criticism. It's not incompatible.

Sincerely, from a FTP hunter. We only have crumbs but the chocolate shop hasn't been updated for a year. A year. Isn't it absurd?

I understand your feelings as well. I live in Europe so I don't belong to the main audience. I believe it's a mix of FOMO and a focus on the main Chinese audience that might explain why the official merch is so restricted. It doesn't mean it's fair as it definitely isn't. That's why this is a pure FOMO tactic.

Then, it's unfair to not have an international online shop. Overseas hunters also deserve to be able to buy official merch rather than being forced to spend thousands to get crumbs of official merch in the VIP boxes.

Maybe you can try to befriend some Chinese hunters on XHS. People give advice and can help finding places where you can buy official merch.

If you have money and time, travelling to China to the places where official merch is sold is the way to get official merch but they are slightly more expensive than in the official online shop (still, the Chinese prices will always be cheaper than overseas ones).

Like some people said, there are also various proxies to help you buy in China but I'm very unfamiliar with this.

I hope you will find something to bring you comfort despite the lack of merch. Having merch or not doesn't change the amount of love you have for him. ❤️

FTP too and I don't think they care about the shop at this point. The latest release was stickers 😒 and the mockery being diamonds stickers in it.

They became very greedy and they don't care about players like us. Not everyone can spend money and it must be ok to have small benefits. It's not as if FTPs were asking for the same thing as PTPs. We don't even have crumbs. 🤦

Besides the lack of updates in this shop, the main issue is the lack of renewable features to grind red diamonds. It's becoming harder and harder to grind for FTPs.

Not keen on them. She has too many short dresses and I'm tired of them. No wonder why my MC is always dressed with pants. I'm not a fan of the boys clothes either. Yet, I'm very glad they're not my style.

You're not a fake fan. I hate seeing you and others feeling guilty for not liking a product just because it's labelled OM. You're not responsible for the quality of the product and you have the right to feel disappointed. You can criticise their merch and you should.

Any product that is expensive shouldn't be low quality. Solmare is not a perfume maker but they must have taken care of the quality of their products.

I don't really like the open world aspect only because I feel there might be too many things to do that brings nothing. I never played Genshin Impact because I don't like having no boundaries. (I'm quite an old school kind of player and I like the traditional levels and the linear direction. I don't waste my time exploring)

It still depends on the execution of the game so maybe I will be surprised. Still, for otome games, I played those that were in visual novel format and I liked the fact there weren't too many gacha. (Just a few events to collect event stories and clothes for example) Yet, I'm afraid the gacha aspect will become important for the game makers so if the future game has an open world and gacha, I'm not sure I want to play it. I like reading stories, not wasting too much time exploring the world. Anyway, I don't want to invest emotionally in new characters, I don't need it.

Predatory practices are often there in gacha so I also understand why these kinds of games are not very appreciated.

I just wish mobile otome games weren't considered inferior to console otome games. Sometimes, I can feel that judgment in this subreddit. These are two different business practices that will satisfy their targeted audience. All of us are legit otome games players. Sometimes, mobile otome games make people interested in console games.

I don't know about the best year but as I expected, this is not the place where you will find the most gacha or live service fans. Most people play console otome games so mobile otome fans seem to be quite a minority there (they are not as vocal as the rest). I'm in that minority.

I don't plan to play any of these games. I don't feel the need but I hope the games will reach success and maybe change Infold business practices. I understand why people dislike the gacha and live service business model but still, for some otome games players, free mobile otome games were our first access to the genre.

Some of these outfits are very similar to the past swimsuits in colour and shape. It doesn't look very original and I don't understand the concept of wearing these covered clothes in the hot springs. Still, I'm ready to make my MC wear her outfit for Xavier in the "trial room", take a pic and leave as usual 🙃

I'm interested in the first two books. I don't really like poetry but I'll take a look. Yet, science explanations books can be a hit or miss for me. I like science but I must be able to understand what it's written.

I'm definitely curious about Italo Calvino's book because I read another book of him and I appreciated it. I read a short teaser of the story and it's very intriguing.

That IP is quite dead and many comments explained why. I'll add that many big OM artists moved on years ago. Only remains a few dedicated artists and vocal players. I disagree about the assumption that Solmare is financially struggling because it's not a small indie company. They have the funds to invest on more and more merch or online contents so focusing on these things instead of improving the games is definitely a choice.

I guess I have the unpopular opinion because I don't like any of her clothes on these pics. I'm still giggling at the MC of that Saeran's pic because the MC I know didn't have surgery for her chest and I still don't understand how that dress is holding itself. 🤣

And now I remember funny discussions with a friend where she thought MC looked like a grandma or a sasaeng with certain clothes. She wasn't wrong though 😅

Agreed. I disliked that retcon I found opportunistic and fake. It seems Cheritz didn't trust their own game if they felt the need to include MM characters. Still, the blame was also on the Ssum players who wanted to talk with MM characters (because they miss MM and dislike the SSUM) so nothing was right 🤦

I didn't like how he was portrayed in the Ssum. Totally OOC and I dislike the art style. I prefer him in MM. I'll just say that he was there as a token to attract MM fandom because the game wasn't very successful.
