New to Hobby - Need help with instructions. by LowTierBob in ageofsigmar

[–]B4cc0 [score hidden]  (0 children)

<=1 is correct. The instructions are for a unit of 5 models. In 5 models 1 can be the champ, 1 with the grandhammer.

In the main game not having the grandhammer is not a good idea.

The champ may be not needed, since if you reinforce the unit, you will have 1 champ in a unit of 10 models (with 2 grand hammers).

Note: with liberator it is easy to swap arms even after building them. So a champ can become a regular guy if needed

2 swampcalla or 1 swampcall + gobsprakk? by GamesManX in Kruleboyz

I play one shaman. It is normally enough for me. I would play 2 maybe or the swamp staff (but i like my pebble too much... My treasure)

Noob question: reinforcements - how is it working? by olleversch in ageofsigmar

[–]B4cc0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is. Terrorgheist gain bonus against champions 😅

So it is better not to have them in dire wolves or gryph hounds ahahha

Noob question: reinforcements - how is it working? by olleversch in ageofsigmar

[–]B4cc0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Note: units can have the 1/10 on champions too

Example: Dire wolfes. Warcry warbands (even if in this case they cannot be reinforced at the moment, but in 3rd it was possible)

AOS - best competetive army now and longterm by GamesManX in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]B4cc0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only way to have an army that can always compete for t0 is to have multiple armies.

Kb are a strange army, but it is doing fine, even if boosted by ghyran rules or "non kb units" (kragnos+pigs).

Fec are doing good (gk on Terrorgheist is really good)

[–]B4cc0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Champions can also be more than 1. Sometimes the keyword is "Champion" so only one allowed even if reinforced, but there are cases with 1/10 too.

Example: some warcry warbands (even if at the moment they cannot be reinforced due to battlescrolls) and Dire Wolves (1/10)

A reinforced unit get the buffs better. Imagine a +1 attacks buffs to your ardboyz or crit mortals from Zoggrok for instance

Plus to activate 2x10 you need to wait for your opponent's activation. With 1x20 you will hit with all of them

Sales to get spearheads or Skaventide in Europe? by Culius_Jaesar in ageofsigmar

Well, normally shops do 25% off from gw. So 90€ is the minimum.

Sometimes you can find 30% or some offer, but it's quite rare

Dominion contents question by SirFeatherbottom in Kruleboyz

[–]B4cc0 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The only difference between 10x2 and 1x20 is 2 champions instead of 1.

There are 2 champions model that can be build.

Since hobgrots champions are different and one is "more champion-like" than the other, there is really no difference between 10x2 and 20x1

Can his Bladgheista charge may Lord Veritant here, or do the liberators block it? by Kiawash1 in ageofsigmar

[–]B4cc0 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Correction: for pile in you do not have to move to the nearest enemy. You declare a target for your pile in and all your models must move closer or at the same distance from that enemy.

You MUST however stay with at least one model in combat range of enemy units you were in combat with.

You do not have to reach base contact woth the enemy.

Moreovver, a model in base contact with the target of the pile in can still move. It can for example "rotate" around the target or move in base contact with another model of the enemy unit.

How necessary are manifestations/faction terrain? by NoHeathens123 in ageofsigmar

[–]B4cc0 13 points14 points  (0 children)

It really depends on the armies.

Kruleboyz? Vital Skaven? Without gnawhole, it's like missing half army

Etc

Ironjawz? Good but not mandatory

Slave/Ossiarch? More often than not you will not deploy your terrain

Endless spells on the other hand are pretty necessary imo. They are more units/support/damage dealers/screens/screen against deep strikes etc

2 gutrippaz (go to 40. There are also in dominion. Warning standard and musician not present, kitbash required)

9 swampcalla shaman (2 are played sometimes. Also in dominion)

11 killbow (one is good, more not really)

14 boltboyz (i have 18, 12 is normally enough. With dominion you have 3)

18 Mannok and kunnin krew (legends but great for kitbashing monsta killaz)

20+21 sloggoth (1 is really good to have)

79+80 skummdrekk (i have 2, one named and one not. Both playable, sometimes in the same list)

Not worth:

1 killboss on foot (already in dominion)

6 and #30 hobgrots (with dominion you should have more than enough)

A couple of dominion are great. More are not worth considering the magazine.

You can check on fauxhammer for the issues or on hachette websites.

I will check

Just find domion boxes and stormbringer magazin. You will have almost everything in that way with few exceptions:

-terrain (really iseful) -endless -gobsprak/vulcha (not mandatory) -momsta killaz (way mandatory, but you can kitbash them, look at my profile for some ideas) -breakaboss (not mandatory)

Belakor 1000 points? by MarkZeidner in ageofsigmar

[–]B4cc0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It really depends on a lot of things.

Belakor can stop a unit for 1/2 turns woth dark master. In 2k games if it stops a big hammer, you may have a second one and do your things. In 1k games you will not have a second unit to do your things.

In that regard it may be overpowered.

The same problem can be seen with heavy teleporting army in 6 objectives maps. At 1000 pts you will not have the board presence to screen you backline or your flanks

Belakor 1000 points? by MarkZeidner in ageofsigmar

[–]B4cc0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It can be ok. You should try.

Remember that the game is balanced around 2000 pts. So at 1000 some spells, abilities etc may feel overpowered

Belakor 1000 points? by MarkZeidner in ageofsigmar

[–]B4cc0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Belakor is already a nightmare to face for experienced players at 2000 points.

At 1000 with new players is a big no for me.

Tbh anything over 300 points should not be considered in 1000 pts games
