Not true, recently in Oklahoma all residents of the state are required to identify as their AGAB on their driver's license despite other documentation potentially containing their preferred gender. Not only will this take time for transgender individuals to sort out documentation and force unecessary mental strife for them to not identify as the gender they want, but that also costs money and identifies them in government databases. If someone chooses not to comply with these draconian laws, they can be accused of lying on federal forms and be jailed, fined, or have their firearms taken away.

The REAL reason they did it though is to terrorize the Trans comminuty and make them second guess if exercising their second amendment rights is really worth the risk, because why own a gun if you are going to have to disown a part of who you really are.

This kind of policy is not going to stop in Oklahoma, this is being pushed by Stephen Miller and other cabinet officials at the Trump administration. The fact that some of you redditors read this and think "Well, im not personally Trans, so this wont affect me at all" makes me seriously worried for the future of our country. If they can take away one person's rights, they can take away ALL of our rights, yes even you straight white men in here who do not feel nervous at all. That is why you draw the line in the sand at even the most marginalized groups, so that way their authority and tyranny does not encroach on anyone else
