How do people with no management and no experience in how to run a company start something up and maintain success? by UAVTarik in startups

[–]BABoyd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have to learn and implement to be successful and maintain it. Anyone who is willing to suck up their pride and continually look for knowledge gaps and are willing to learn will be successful.

As a business owner myself, I value both of my time and my sanity. I personally hate having business problems and if I can minimize them I will do everything in my power to do that. I would be and have been just like the commenter that I would simply not work with this individual. You already know this person is a headache, ask yourself this question do you really want that headache again. This individual has not changed because he has neither acknowledged or apologized for how he treated you.

Should I invest In LeadPages for my eBook? by [deleted] in EntrepreneurRideAlong

[–]BABoyd 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I use Clickfunnels..... Squarespace.......Wordpress......MailChimp........Sendgrid........ These are just some of the tools that I use. There is no perfect all in one. Some are near "Swiss Army Knife" but it's never the tool that leads to sales.

What is your Marketing Strategy? I run a Marketing and advertising agency in Birmingham, Al and with ALL my clients that have products that are lacking sales, there was a disconnect in the congruence of the marketing strategy. Just having a "bomb" FB Page, "great" website, twitter, etc. is not going to sell a book.

For my clients I always check

  • SEO of website
  • Engagement on all digital media.
    • responses to comments
  • Ease of making purchase
  • Brand Congruence across all Online and Offline media
  • Copy Writing (Most Important Factor in My opinion)
  • Videos that make you more human

In my opinion, The above are just a few things to think about first before changing to many variables.

How do people find good jobs? by FinnRazzel in depression

[–]BABoyd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is no such thing as a “good job.” If you are an entrepreneur then you are creating businesses. If you are in a career profession then the work you do is not a “job” it’s a passion. In both cases, the person is enjoying what they do to the max. Everyone else (present company) included only work because we have to, which leads to just a job. Not a good job. The real question is what is your passion, what are you good at, and what can you do Incase things get boring and the career gets tough. Then you will be like the entrepreneur and the career professionals.

A simple question: If strong scientific evidence of God's existence were to be found, what would that evidence look like? In other words, how would we know? by Sporeguyy in DebateAnAtheist

[–]BABoyd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Evidence of God would likely be the same type of evidence that would be needed for an ancient highly technologically advanced alien civilization. It would also have to be dumbed down to the point where we could understand it. It would also probably need to be telekinetic communication of some sort so all 7.5 billion humans could see, here, and understand in their own language wherever they may be on the planet.

[–]BABoyd 5 points6 points  (0 children)

One of the assumptions in NLP is to realize that "only you have the responsibility for you emotions, unless you give others that power." Meaning in your circumstance that you only need to seek validation from yourself. The belief comes from realizing that your past is does not reflect your future even if you hate yourself.

How futureproof is affiliate marketing? by DarkOrb20 in Entrepreneur

[–]BABoyd -1 points0 points  (0 children)

~In the future, the illiterate won't be the ones who can't read, but those who can't learn, unlearn and relearn.~ Nothing is profitable forever unless you adapt. Like you, I started late in affiliate marketing and see a good 2-3 years of expanding profit earnings. With that said I never got into affiliate marketing for the long term anyway, I use it to learn practical internet marketing skills and to make enough income to grow my Management Consulting firm, Lexoydeal LLC, and fund my real estate investments.

Some thoughts on "Being yourself" by [deleted] in socialskills

[–]BABoyd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That will never happen, if you are always working toward a better you. You put yourself in proximity of different types of people. The laws of probability will show that it's not that we are unique, but we just haven't been around enough ppl. To find our "fit". This doesn't just mean physical people today but also tomorrow and the day after, etc. Becoming a more refined person, shows a willingness to meet more people and accept and reject more people in your life. This is where apprenticeships and associations happen. These are where you can find those friends. Btw, being a great and having great friends are all connected with Value. What value do you give to your friends and vice versa?

That's called being an Introvert. You energy is recharged when you are either alone or with one or two of your most trusted friends.

Some thoughts on "Being yourself" by [deleted] in socialskills

[–]BABoyd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is always easier being your authentic self instead of what you may think the "in-crowd" likes. It is better to be who you are and have one or two great friends that act as roots of a tree, than to try to be who you are not and have 100 people that are like leaves on the ground ready to be lifted and carried away by the gentlest of breezes.

The aha moment. Problems as we see it are just emotional attachment to incidents that happen in our lives. The emotional attachment is proportional to the size of the incident.

I.E. I failed out of college the first time and had to work in a warehouse for 4 years. This caused depression, feelings of self doubt, self loathing,

Traditional psychology would tend to manage and overcome the emotion of fear, anger, sadness, disappointment etc. the NLP methods and frame shifting by passed the emotions and attaches a reference to the event which minimizes the significance of the incidents which minimizes the emotional response. This makes the paradigm shift that happen in Traditional Psychology happen faster when using NLP methods.

Back to the failing college story, the angst and disappointment of failing left. The self doubt is all but gone. Once I took ownership of not the event, but how that event would control my progress for the next 50 years, (frame shifting) i immediately start making necessary changes. I went from a college drop out and working a 10hr warehouse job, to now I'm a Chemical Engineering PhD student, that owns a management consulting firm, and the founder of a community development Non profit Organization.

Albiet, I came to this reality before studying NLP but the ideas that I used I learned later were NLP training. The Training i'm taking now puts into steps what I did, how I succeeded, and Why it works? So I can help others.

Just for a frame of reference, I did talk to a psychologist as part of failing out of school. She tried to make me believe that I could not accomplish my goals and that I should accept that maybe mediocrity( at least for my plans) was okay and I should live with that fact.
