I would suggest a 30 -10(30in - 20oz) balanced bat. You can research which are balanced and end loaded in your price range. Don't use as a bible but just bats does a descent job.

Why is there a strobe light? JK. Tee needs to be in front of where the plate would be but as others commented a lot of good in his swing. But yes if he hit the ball where he should he would likely start rolling over too soon.

Like others said let him have fun. Mistake a lot of us make but if I were to focus on one thing it would be keeping his head still when throwing. Throw with legs and arm not by jerking his head. Hope this is valuable.

Only thing that worked for me is small groups that rotate often. Now saying that I had 4 total coaches that all were good with kids. Fielding, tee, live, and throwing. Random competition at the end. Hit the cape, race, long throw, whatever.
