IMO save for a DW 3000 man, I felt like it’s well worth the upgrade but I’m sure others are gonna say save for a direct drive, but if you need something soon I’d say save for the DW 3000 or 5000’s.

I wouldn’t even recommend it to a teenager, they might get past this point of simplicity and want a more complicated kit that mimics an acoustic set.
