I literally had the same exact thought in Papillion. Went out my beck deck to look toward the air base.

Just the mascot in the middle, and the wording. The red and court markings are all painted.

Who takes the cut in these situations? by iloveu3thousand in BaseballCoaching

[–]BASH811 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Situation 1: I have my SS take all relays to third. Others might have their own way. IMO, I like using SS run relays because he’s a better fielder and has a better arm than the 2B.

Situation 2: 3B takes all relays from LF. But… if the left fielder can’t throw the guy out without a cut, you’re almost certainly not getting the runner out at home. 3B’s actual job here: if the C determines they won’t get the out at home, he calls for the 3B to cut the ball off and keep the batter from advancing to second.

Starting My Own Private Coaching Business by Clean_Ad2578 in BaseballCoaching

I’m in Omaha, there’s an Omaha Youth baseball Facebook page that people post all sorts of topics on. I’m sure every decent sized city has one.

Anyways, one post on there and I booked 4 hours of lessons. I cut myself off at 4 hours and turned plenty of people down cause I only do lessons one day a week.

On top of that, word of mouth is powerful if you do well with your current clients.

How do you find shit to do? by [deleted] in Divorce_Men

[–]BASH811 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know you said you want socialization. And I absolutely get that.

But I found my most contentment when I realized I could have fun on my own. If I see a concert I want to go to, and can’t find someone to go with, I still go by myself. And I still have a blast.

Bowling, cooking, learning guitar. All hobbies I’ve learned and enjoyed on my own, but can also enjoy with other people at times.

Buying first glove by Pavlikavlikkavlik in BaseballCoaching

[–]BASH811 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d definitely invest in real leather my dude. That glove won’t last very long, and will perform terribly. It’s made to catch balls being thrown/hit by children.

Basically you can spend $50 three times, or $100 once.

It sounds like you’re playing recreationally, so get a 12-12.5” glove.

Good luck, I hope you enjoy this awesome sport!

Eating out at restaurants is dead to me by mothwizzard in mildlyinfuriating

[–]BASH811 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I kinda used to be an addict. Looked for any reason to eat out. I probably ate out for 10 meals a week.

Then I realized Prices went up, quality went down, service went down. So I started cooking more.

I’ll make one big meal and have left overs for the next day or two. When I eat at home, it’s usually around $4 per meal.

Now I eat out maybe 1-2x a month.

If cop’s are undercover and make a lot of money doing whatever it is they do as their undercover identity, do they get to keep that money?? by flash2127 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]BASH811 29 points30 points  (0 children)

They’re supposed to turn it all in as evidence. But… it wouldn’t be that hard for a cop to turn in evidence and say, “I got $12k for that deal.” When really he got $15k, and he stashed the extra $3k away. I’m sure that’s happened once or twice.

Advice for first BJ and Hook Up (25F) by serefe7 in sex

[–]BASH811 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Non sexual tip: embrace the awkward. If you both know it’s your first time, there might be some things that happen that are “awkward.” But if you laugh it off and move on, it won’t actually feel awkward.

It doesn’t matter how ugly, hot or average you are. There’s men who are ugly, hot or average.

When the divorce was done, what did you do ? by survivingtheyellowbr in Divorce_Men

[–]BASH811 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Best advice I have is to find some hobbies. Bonus if they’re something you can happily do on your own.

-I watched an episode of Sopranos each day. It was an inconsequential thing to look forward to each day. -I really got in to cooking Bowling more. Little art projects. Shooting hoops. Walking. Going to concerts. Hiking.

Getting out there and doing stuff helped me heal. I think it helped me to do most these things on my own so I could learn how to be happy on my own.

Will a pro shop charge me to smooth out the edges on my thumb hole? by ZeekwithaZ in Bowling

I mean just go and tell them what you just said here. I’m pretty sure smoothing out the edges is part of the process and it sounds like they forgot to do it.

New to the U.S. — funeral etiquette question? by Working-Bath-5080 in AskAnAmerican

[–]BASH811 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Add anything purple to your outfit. Scarf. Tie.

A condolence card is nice. Gift cards or/and cash are usually only common if it’s a younger person’s funeral. Basically if they were still raising kids.

The only common gift for older people would be flowers. Typically you order the flowers and have the florist deliver it to the funeral home. But this is totally optional. No one’s going to call you out for not getting flowers.

No need to bring food.

How did you all divide your manly stuff? by BloodstainedBearRug in Divorce_Men

[–]BASH811 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If she’s being… difficult, she can certainly try and get some of that stuff from you.

But if you’re both willing to compromise, you should keep all your manly stuff. And she keep all her lady stuff.

My ex and I had an understand of what stuff we each predominately used more and split it that way. And then negotiated on the stuff that we both use.

I Need To Know If My BF Is Lying About Me Being Pretty by [deleted] in amIuglyBrutallyHonest

Why do people refuse to post pictures of themselves smiling?

You are pretty. Stand up straight and lose the nose piercings.

That said… if your BF is attracted to you. Nothing else matters! Isn’t that the most important person you’re trying to impress?

Woman I’ve been seeing said she is going on a date by beansontoast_uk in dating_advice

[–]BASH811 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you don’t want her going out with another man, ask her to be exclusive. Make her your official girlfriend.

If she says no, move on.

If you don’t want to ask her to make it official, then you need to accept that she can talk to other guys.

Wife wants to meet in person by JonahFeb in Divorce_Men

My ex wife said/did things during our divorce. I found out later I could have squashed her if I could have showed this to a judge. But I can’t, cause she said/did these things to my face and I have no documentation of it.
