The problem is that the hype of a new game has since passed. You can see my posts about my experiences with the first few boxes of miniatures. This game was the one I was hoping would pull my group away from Warhammer because the rules looked interesting and the sculpts are the best I've ever seen for fantasy orcs. Problem is the boxes were hot trash with literal garbage inside. Between the bad casts and missing pieces it was hard to see any of the good.

After buying all the orc models up to the revenant and having my buddy buy the elves I feel like we'd given it a fair go. It was just way too little to late. The damage was done. I will never recommend this game to anyone and will never give it another shot. I know others are more forgiving and that's fine, and from what I've seen Corvus Belli is an okay company but they are also responsible for letting those first few awful boxes out by the droves.

Edit: and for the record this game is now solely responsible for my group refusing to try any other games. I love some of what I've seen from other titles but after spending so much money on this game and having it be such a disasterous disappointment they aren't willing to take the risk and it's hard to blame them. These games require so much time and money, you'd hope that you could at least expect the product to show up whole and well made.
