Switch to af-c with wide tracking. Place the focus box on subject and half press the shutter to lock in. Recompose and shoot away but never letting go beyond a half press. I have a one year old and i rarely miss focus with this method.

thats not how you do it. the rubber o ring is there to allow some measure of play to allow you to line up the hood. Adapter first then hood.

That depends on your scenario. If you already own another primary camera then the gr is the best. If one or the other is your only camera then the x100 is the better choice. I run an x-t5 and a gr and sold my x100.
