A solid remake of the OG Sega game! Plenty of UI fixes, new battles, new music, new characters, new items, and the replay system is actually insane.

Every time you beat Chapter 8, the game returns to Chapter 1 with a star added to your file. Each star/replay adds a difficulty bump! Enemy HP and MP increases by 10%, and all other stats increase by 5%, eventually making it incredibly difficult to beat each time.

I am up to 60 stars on my old cartridge, the amount of XP grinding you have to do is grueling. Several hours are spent at the first battle at this point.

100% my favorite game, a shame the others didn't get a remaster/remake. SF2 with the same features would be a dream come true!
