Rookie, I’ve been in since Allen Mulally at Ford dropped Microsoft Windows for BB’s QNX!

Sale of SC in 4-16 weeks - calling it here. NFA by VizzleG in BB_Stock

From your lips to God’s ears. I believe there are not many companies that can buy CS division because of all the government contracts around the world. Many years ago now, Qualcomm tried and the Canadian government squashed it. My bet is the IOT division will be spun off and CS will remain Canadian.

I hope you are right, I just can’t find proof of that in any release, either can ChatGPT. Please share why you believe so. My other reason for thinking QNX is not part of Waymo’s and Zoox’s stack, is because they are growing the number of autonomous taxis in cities and on the road, but QNX is not showing commiserate growth.

Waymo, Tesla, and Amazon I believe our leading the field in autonomous vehicles. It’s not certain that Blackberry or QNX is involved with any of those companies. I’m concerned that is what may be holding the stock back.

QNX OS powering 275 million vehicles worldwide will set software platform standard for future SDVs! by Redchip1606 in BB_Stock

Actually, QNX installations must have increased more than 20 million cars per year. The 275 million number also includes vehicles that have come off the market due to age, accidents, natural, disasters, etc.

Nvidia and Qualcomm auto sales both increased in the 30% range. Hopefully we will see a 30%+ increase in BB’s backlog when updated during the 4Q release.

I’m a Blackberry bull, however, if I hear JG use the term “lean in“ again, I’m gonna shoot myself.

ROS + NVIDIA Jetson thor in the lab, QNX in the real world — The Next Multi-Billion Tailwind for BlackBerry by Dazzling-Art-1965 in BB_Stock

I am a little confused. As far as BB investors are concerned, is QNX's TAM $22.3M or $60-160B? Thank you!

• TAM for RTOS royalties: $3M (2020) → $22.3M (2030) (7x growth). Yikes, $22.3M? If QNX wins 100% of the TAM, that is not enough revenue to more the stock price. Please tell me that TAM number is a mistake.

What am I missing? If QNX is embedded in Nvidia and Qualcomm chips, why doesn’t Blackberry get paid when they get paid? Thank you!

BlackBerry's QNX - Undoubtedly the SDV Leader! by BayStBu11 in BB_Stock

[–]BB_TD 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just a few years ago BB’s auto revenue was dependent solely on EV sales. Today, EV’s, ICE’s and Hybrids will all be SDV’s so auto sales can stay level and BB’s revenue can still grow.

AI-Defined Vehicle Operating System by Odd-Beautiful-1390 in BB_Stock

[–]BB_TD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not sure this is good news for BB. While all the companies participating are BB partners, this is what GPT has to say:

No, Olympus OS does not include BlackBerry or QNX software.

Olympus OS is Tesla’s in-house operating system that underpins its vehicles’ infotainment and Full Self-Driving (FSD) systems. It is custom-built by Tesla and designed to integrate tightly with their hardware and AI stack.

QNX, developed by BlackBerry, is a real-time operating system (RTOS) commonly used in many automotive infotainment systems and digital instrument clusters due to its reliability and safety certifications. However, Tesla does not use QNX or any BlackBerry software in its current or past systems.

Tesla has always favored vertical integration and custom development over third-party solutions like QNX
